Customers often ask what's the lightest rotomolded sit-on-top kayak you got? The answer to that one is simple. The Perception Tribe 9.5 kayak weighs only 48.5 lbs. Quality made right here in the good ol' US of A. 🇺🇲 Sporting a comfy high-back reclining seat back with a 300 lb. max weight capacity, this baby is ready for adventure. Wanna float Terrapin Creek? We rent kayaks too. It's recommended (but not required) to call at least a day ahead for reservations. Rentals are dependent upon weather and water conditions.

It's the first weekend of June! Come enjoy some warm weather and cool water. Float Terrapin Creek this Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins welcome. No reservation needed. Kayak rentals go in the water 9am-1pm. Boats need to be out of the water by 4:30pm. 4 mi. float. Solo kayaks only. 1 person per kayak only. No pets.

Terrapin Outdoor Center has the largest selection of new canoes, kayaks, and gear you'll ever see and now is the time to buy. Come see us and we can definitely get you hooked up with a brand new, quality name brand boat. We've been making paddlers and pocket books happy for decades. Many newbies that drop bythe shop are surprised at the size and scope of our paddlesports inventory. Check us out!

Call (256) 447-8383 for reservations to float Terrapin Creek now through Memorial Day. Yes, were open Memorial Day. Reservations assure you a kayak rental on a specific day and time. If the weather's not up to par for ya, reschedule or cancel. Easy peasy. Call now and get on the books for the first holiday of the summer.

Sunday, May 17, 2026. Float Terrapin Creek with TOC! $35 solo kayak rentals go in the water 9am-noon and need to be out of the water by 4:30pm. 4 mi. trip. Only 1 person per rental yak. Must be old enough and capable of paddling your own rental kayak. No doubling up. No pets.
