Pete Lien & Sons Shooting Sports Complex Organized in two separate areas (north and south), the complex offers a wide variety of options for all levels.

There is room for beginners and experts to shoot side by site, with facilities for education, outreach, and shooting competitions.

The G***K 2026 Annual Shoot & Gunny Challenge is ONE WEEK AWAY!

Closure Reminder: This event will be taking place over the entire South Range. The range will be closing at 12:30PM on Wednesday (9/16) for setup. The South Range will be CLOSED to public shooting from Thursday (9/17) through Sunday (9/20).

During this time, the Archery Range and the North Range will both be open. Spectators are welcome!

Prepping for bird season? Our shotgun area is the perfect place to hone your skills!

This area includes three S***t fields, Olympic/Bunker Trap, a 5-stand sporting clays course, and patterning boards.

All shooters must either have an annual membership or a day pass to use the shotgun area.

RANGE UPGRADE: Sporting Clays Course

Did you know the range has a 3/4 mile sporting clays course, with four different menus? Range staff recently added Intermediate (Blue Square), Beginner (Green Circle), and Super Sport menus to compliment the current Advanced (Black Diamond) course.

Bring the whole family and check out these new stations! We've got something for everyone, whether you're a beginner or an expert.

The Sporting Clays course is open seven days a week, and located at the North Range. All shooters must either have an annual membership or a day pass to access the course. Golf Cart rentals are available.

Less than three weeks remain until the G***K 2026 Annual Shoot & Gunny Challenge on September 18th - 20th. Spectators are welcome, and sign-ups are still open at https://gssf.pro/.

What is the "Gunny Challenge"?

The Gunny Challenge originated in 2005 when Gunnery Sergeant, R. Lee Ermey, AKA “The Gunny”, would end the competition by competing against another celebrity. The Gunny Challenge is carried on in his honor with a competition of the top GSSF competitors.

To compete in the Gunny Challenge, a competitor must be a Matchmeister, which is the overall winner of a GSSF match holding the best time across all qualifying divisions. In this unique shoot-off between the Matchmeisters, they are issued a G***K pistol and ammunition for a surprise course for the challenge.

As of September 1st, construction will begin on major upgrades to the 1,200 YD range! During this time, the long range will be closed completely. It will reopen when all upgrades are completed.

We will provide timeline updates as work progresses. This closure will begin today, September 1st. Please call us at (605) 983-1388 or stop by the office with any questions you have!
