While I won’t be running rentals or shuttles this year, I’ll be out there paddling. Something I haven’t gotten to do in a while. See y’all there, come support this great event that raises funds for the special Olympics.

I’ll be at our location in Piedmont this evening doing some house keeping. If you’d like to pick up a boat, I’ll be there from 6-8pm. Otherwise please coordinate via messenger or phone to pick up at another time.

This is a post I’ve been dreading, but I’ve finally come to terms with. Unfortunately the Rambler is ending its summer operations after 4 wonderful years. My responsibilities as a husband and father come first, followed by my job as a biologist during the week, and then finally the Rambler. This summer proved to be far too high stress, keeping me away from home on the weekends more than I wanted. I prayed pretty hard about this, and having our trailer stolen seemed like a sign to me that it was time.

We aren’t going away completely. I still plan to host a race, river clean up, and moonlight paddles. I’m just ending our rental and shuttle service. Thank you for your understanding and for all the support over the years. It’s been an awesome paddle and I’d like to think I made a few people fall in love with this river along the way.

That being said, I have a bunch of kayaks to sell. Message me if interested.

Reminder that our kayak sale is tomorrow (Saturday), 11-2.
