PYAA Rec Basketball Update – 2026–2027 Season
All head coaching positions for the current PYAA Rec Basketball teams have been filled! Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help make this season possible.
We still need one additional head coach for both 1st Grade Boys and 2nd Grade Boys. Securing these two coaches will allow us to form additional teams and offer spots to children currently on the waitlist in each grade.
All other grades have reached the maximum number of teams we will be forming for the 2026–2027 season. Several leagues still have a few openings, but once those spots are filled, registration will close in those leagues, and no additional players will be accepted.
Assistant Coaches Needed!
Now that our head coaching positions are filled, we are looking for assistant coaches to help support our teams this season.
If your child is already registered, or you plan to register your child in a league that still has openings, please consider volunteering as an assistant coach! Your time and involvement make a huge difference in helping our players learn, grow, and enjoy the game.
Below is a breakdown of the assistant coaching needs for each league.
Thank you for supporting PYAA Rec Basketball and helping us make this a great season for our kids!
