Hey y'all!

I am getting back on track with the Health Challenge, after my golf trip mistakes. Lets try to keep making good decisions through Murph and into Summer.

Kendall has an awards program tomorrow evening, so there will not be a 6:30pm Monday May 18.

Finally, Murph is almost here. We are planning to have two times offered: Saturday May 23 and Monday May 25 at 9:00am.

Hey y'all!

If you've been "Health Challenging", how is it going? My progress is about to be altered by the golf trip, but I will get back on track. Do the same, if you've made some mistakes.

Speaking of golf trip, make sure to pay attention to email, Facebook, and the Wodify App. If there are any schedule changes, we will let you know. As of right now, there will not be a 5:30pm on Friday.

Finally, Murph will be coming soon. We are planning to have two times offered: Saturday May 23 and Monday May 25 at 9:00am.

Hey y'all!

Hopefully, you have done better than I have since the last health challenge. If not, lets do a quick informal challenge before Murph. I am going to start tomorrow, and try to keep it going until my beach trip this summer (with a break for my golf trip). Our focus will be health and wellness, so that includes the gym AND the kitchen. We will not do a weigh-in, but you may want to weigh for your own progress monitoring. We will have a scoring system, like last time, but no money prize.

More details will come out soon, but the basic scoring system will be: positive/negative points for following a diet for each meal, points for attending classes at the gym, and points for extra challenges at the gym.

Our suggestion is that you follow the Zone or Paleo diet, but we are open to others. The basic prescription: Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

The Open is officially over. We are so amazed at what each of you accomplished. With the close of The Open comes March Madness. Josh has set up a bracket challenge pool on CBS Sports. Join our group, and see if you can nail a perfect bracket or have a busted bracket with the rest of us. We may put some skin in the game, for those who like to gamble a little.

Hey y'all!

We had so much fun competing with you during this years Open Workouts. We are going to keep the progress going this Saturday. Off the Block Performance PT will be doing another workshop for us. This time, we will be focusing on the Hip and Lower Back areas. Come on in and gain some great knowledge at 9:00am Saturday.

Hey y'all!

So, here they are... some of the movements that we were expecting. There will be heats that are running all evening. Even if you are not participating in The Open or doing the workout, you can come hang out. We want to spend some time together as a gym family and throw down some fitness. Feel free to bring your family as well. This is not just for our athletes. The first heat will start around 4:45pm.

Come in and warm-up on your own. Off The Block Performance PT will also be on site to help with your "body issues". Be prepared and be flexible!! Also, be patient with us! Compete.....Relax!

We want to celebrate with a cookout on Friday after the WOD heats. Bring your own meat of choice (I'm bringing a steak!). We will probably have a fruit tray, vegetable tray, and a few burgers and hot dogs. We also need sides, drinks, and condiments. There is not a sign-up sheet. Just bring some food, and enjoy some time together.
