Getting closer! We are just two weeks away from our USA Softball of South Mississppi Father's Day Classic All-Star Tournament that we are hosting right here at Friendship Park! We're fortunate and thrilled to have this opportunity and hope to see a large turnout for our girls! We welcome all of those in our community to come out and watch our girls compete against some of South Mississippi's best!

🥎 MLB Pitch, Hit & Run is coming to Friendship Park! 🥎

PYAA Softball is excited to host the Official Youth Skills Competition of the MLB. This FREE MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition presented by MLB Network, provides our girls the opportunity to showcase their softball skills in pitching, hitting, and running, with the opportunity to advance through three levels of competition culminating at the MLB World Series!

This FREE event is open to eligible participants (see below) and offers a chance to advance through the official MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition levels.

Our All-Star teams were back at it this past weekend, this time competing in the USA Softball of South Mississippi East Central All-Star Tournament in Hurley! These tournaments have averaged 30+ participating teams which can make for a long, but fun day for the girls. We're hoping to see a similar turnout on June 19-20 for our Father's Day All-Star Classic tournament at Friendship Park in a few weeks! We're proud of the effort from all of our teams! Some of our teams started their day as early as 6am on Saturday and some did not finish playing until Sunday evening. Starting in the 8U division, our 8U Maroon team captured 1st place and came back home to Picayune as the CHAMPS of their bracket with Savannah Mitchell earning the game ball for 8U Picayune Maroon! These girls played 5 games this weekend and defeated some really talented teams! They ended up battling Long Beach 3 times and beat them in the Championship! Staying in the 8U division, our 8U Gray team participated in their first tournament of the Summer and notched their first victory over a talented Stone team! Moving up an age group, our 10U Gray team also played 5 games this weekend, placing 3rd and finishing in the top 3 of their division for the second consecutive tournament! Dropping down a couple of age groups, our 6U Maroon team played in their third consecutive tournament and took home a victory over a solid St. Martin group! Our 16U team scored 14 runs over the weekend against some talented squads! Congratulations to the following teams on their performances this past weekend!

⚡️🥎 GAME DAY UPDATE! 🥎⚡️

Our Picayune 6U Maroon girls battled hard and came away with a 6-5 victory over St. Martin! 💪🩷🖤

These girls showed heart, hustle, and determination from the first pitch to the final out, and we couldn’t be more proud of the way they fought for this win! 🌟

This past Friday 7 of our 8 All-Star teams competed in the Gulfport Memorial Day Classic USA Softball of South Mississippi All-Star Tournament! This was the largest Memorial Day Classic Tournament USA Softball of South Mississippi has hosted. Even through all of the obstacles that our girls faced in weather delays, game lengths forced to shorten, fields being adjusted, etc., they went out there Saturday and played their hearts out all day/night long! Some of our teams started playing at 8am and some did not finish playing until as late as 1am - 2am Sunday morning. Yep, you read that right. We're so proud of the effort from all of our teams! Huge shoutout to our 16U team, 10U Maroon team, and 6U Gray team who all picked up their first wins of their All-Star seasons, while our 12U team, 10U Gray team, 8U Maroon team, and 6U Maroon team took home some hardware! Congratulations to the following teams on their performances this past weekend!

8U Maroon🥈- 2nd place finish out of 12 teams!

6U Maroon🥉- 3rd place finish out of 9 teams!

Many of these teams will be back at it this weekend playing in the East Central USA Softball of South Mississippi All-Star Tournament in Hurley. And then in just a few weeks, we hope to see you come out to support these girls while they compete in our USA Softball of South Mississippi Father's Day All-Star Classic Tournament we are getting to host right here at Friendship Park in Picayune! PYAA Softball family, if you can make it let’s wear our league jerseys and welcome back the National Champion Pearl River Wildcat Softball team tomorrow as they arrive back on the Pearl River Community College Poplarville campus at 2:30pm!

UPDATE: New start time to celebrate Champions 2:30 pm.

Attention ALL Wildcats! 🐾

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th, on the Poplarville Campus, to welcome home the Pearl River Wildcats Softball team, your 2026 NJCAA Division II National Champions!

Bring your posters, pompoms, and wear your best Wildcat gear to celebrate this team and the first national championship in program history! 🏆
