With an ad campaign starting around December 1981, using a tie in to an Extremely popular television series - Kawasaki pulled away from the competition in the recreational / utility class with the introduction of the KLT250. Featuring firsts like electric start along with a speedometer / odometer combo as standard equipment, there was plenty going on for a savvy shopper to take notice. So, you might be wondering - did this platform get the blessing of the then Legendary Lou Ferrigno? We're not sure, but we added him here in Character giving a shout out! 😉

Another stop tonight in 1992, this time at Coos Bay, Oregon. These Legendary sand dunes look like the ultimate ATV / ATC adventure park. The images themselves from the November issue of 3+4 Wheel Action feature an mix of classic atvs, and some super helpful intel for local business if you were making the trip! Looking back tonight on Spring of 1986, we finally get some initial insights on Honda's long awaited response to Suzuki's LT250R, that turned the performance market upside down in 1985. Another stop tonight in 1992, with us landing in a pile up at the Blackwater 100 in June of that year. It's easy to get sucked into the detail of this photo captured by Davey Coombs, we count a total of 6 different makes and models in this water hole. Are we missing anything? The rear fenders off of the TRX250R with the rider doing trail triage toward the back is absolutely perfect, as we feels it really helps illustrate the tale of an iconic and brutal race. This image was originally featured in the October 1992 isuue of 3+4 Wheel Action.

Tonight we circle back on our limited 1992 Classic Coverage with this all out off road build by the team of 3+4 Wheel Action around the Fall of that year. Known to be a crowd favorite in the 4x4 segment - Honda's TRX300FW was the platform for what honestly looks like a pretty extreme challenge and set up for it's day. We'll let the professional rock crawlers and extreme off-roaders jump in to give their yay or nay on this classic mountain crawler.
