Aaaaand…we are back! It’s late and we crushed it tonight so here is a video dump of all the fun and games. At Grappletown we pride ourselves on being a gym that is or has something for everyone. This picture is from Sunday when we held our Competition Class - 6 months ago this class didn’t exist and now we have 20+ grapplers training and working towards competing in a few weeks - this type of turnout is a direct result of the community we have at our gym. Coach Sam Munson put together and ran an awesome class, Coach Jas had her grapplers ready to rock, and everyone worked really hard to push each other and raise their game. With post practice Puck's Donuts of Phoenix usually ending the day, we can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday. Our Little Grapplers came strong today!!! We started with our 6-9yo and then finished with our 10-14yo, and as you can see in the videos, they put in some major work! Our adult class was great as usual and we finished out the day with a fun open mat with members and visitors all training safe and hard. Thank you to everyone who chose to spend part of their week with us…See you on the mats…Let’s Gooooo!

Grappletown rocks and tonight was no different. We packed the mats for wrestling where we continued our focus on hand-fighting and re-shots and then Coach John Lloyd Buchanan III ran his usual awesome NoGi class where we worked on submission sequences from top and ran some situational rounds for everyone to apply the techniques. Three weeks out from the competition and everyone is putting in the work either as a competitor or a training partner to help get ready - we are truly a TEAM! Great birthday night for Jasper Hostler on the mats of Grappletown. Jasper is one of the best people I have had the pleasure of knowing and training with since moving to Oregon and when we started Grappletown it was a must he was with us from Day 1.
