P1Kids A high-quality health and wellness after-school education program for 4th and 5th graders

How is P1Kids Making an Impact:

The Isaac School District in Phoenix, Arizona became the pilot of the initiative. P1Kids engages interest in elementary and middle school students to take responsibility for one’s physical and mental health through increased physical activity and health education. A healthy child leads to higher education and professional success. Goals:

-Promote the adaptation of

regular physical activity into the lives of elementary and middle school children
-Reduce long term health care cost and increase quality of life
-To help reduce the frequency of obesity and diabetes among Hispanics
-Utilizes exercise to succeed in the classroom
-Educate the students and parents to practice healthy eating habits
