I often choose to eat the foods that I consume because of what those foods can do for me.
Skip the diet-mentality and try the healthy informed-decision approach. It’s not because you have to but because you need to.
Research the benefits of the foods you eat and choose accordingly.
Below is a delicious recipe for a super healthy, delicious tasting, thirst quenching nutrient packed beverage that you can make.

KALE…
It is definitely one of the healthiest and most nutritious foods on the planet and the benefits make consuming this veg a must for many.
Kale has been shown to help lower Cholesterol. In turn this may very well help reduce the risk of Heart Disease.
Just one single cup serving of kale contains more vitamin C than an orange!
APPLES…
Apples are low in calories, high in fiber, and they make for a great grab and go snack.
Studies indicate that they may apples promote heart health in several ways. For starters they are high in soluble fiber, which helps lower cholesterol.
But that’s not all.
Eating apples is linked to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, potentially due to their polyphenol content. The polyphenols are also linked to lower blood pressure and lowered risk of stroke. �

There are plenty of reasons and benefits when it comes to getting this fruit into your daily diet.
Lemons are a great digestive aid. Try squeezing fresh lemon into a cup of warm water or add it in with your hot tea.

Ginger certainly enhances flavor and is probably most popularly associated with helping to address nausea.
But did you know that it also helps the body ward off germs?

LEAN GREEN LEMONADE RECIPE
1 Head Romaine Lettuce
5-6 stalks of Kale
2 Apples (organic Fuji or HoneyCrisp)
1 whole organic Lemon (unpeeled)
1-2 inches of fresh Ginger
Process ingredients in a juicer NOT a blender!
Perfect to drink first thing in the morning or as a natural afternoon energy drink.
