Well this is a bitter sweet memory 🥹

12 years ago my life changed forever when we brought home Bailey Kuschel Cunningham...better known as Bay-wee or Bubba ❤️

Tuesday, we went in for routine bloodwork and found out Bailey has an extremely large, angry and aggressive hemangiosarcoma. It's a vicious, deadly blood vessel cancer that took over his entire spleen and has already spread throughout his abdomen. It is inoperable and has a high risk of rupture...so we have made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. We were able to spend all day with him today, giving lots of cuddles, kisses, and special meals; not even realizing this was his Gotcha Day Anniversary until the end of the day.

My Bubbas, you've been the BEST first dog a girl could ask for! You've taken me through my first apartment on my own, getting engaged, getting married, moving, 2 brothers, a foster brother and a foster sister, and got me through the last 2 years as I dealt with emotional and physical pains. You taught me how to love completely and how to be loved.

I will love you and miss you fur-ever

Let the healing begin!
I was able to get so much relief from my epidural a few weeks ago, I'm confident today's SI joint injection will be the final piece of peace to end this 8 month pain cycle

I don't typically post about dr appointments ... but I've never been so excited for a procedure! After battling abnormally annoying back pain since July and treating a herniated disc in November, I've continued to have extreme lower back pain and nerve issues down my right leg. A recent MRI showed severe nerve root impingement in 3 levels in my lower back. I've dealt with back pain since I was 10, but nothing has been as bad as the last few months. There have even been nights I considered going to the ER it was so bad...and anyone who knows me knows that's intense.

But with the best doc on my side I'm here for an epidural and I can't wait for the relief to come!

First day back in over a month...to say this is humbling is an understatement.

Word to the wise...when you can't stand up straight or sleep for going on 5 months from pain radiating up your back and down your leg, it's best to go see a doctor 🤦‍♀️

Add another lumbar disc herniation and SI joint dysfunction to the list ✔️ Thank goodness for Dr. Sorosky and for getting me back on the "straight" and narrow in no time 👊🏼 As weak as my body fees, my brain is ready to go!
