Yesterday, our Black Canyon Volleyball team wrapped up the club season with a match against Maunalani, falling 19-25, 21-25

What a day! These ladies won their first two games of the day and fought head to head on the last set ending with a loss taking 2nd in their pool for the day. They are ready for tomorrow!!!💜🤍🖤

Our first day at the Phoenix Volleyball Festival was an amazing experience! These ladies worked hard and played harder! They took second place in our pool and we are all excited to see what tomorrow will bring! 💜🖤🤍

The 2026 club season has officially come to a close...sort of.

17s ended with a very successful weekend taking 9th out of 30 in the combined Open/Premier division with the first 8 teams being all very strong 18s loaded with college commits. Not bad for our little team from Montrose, CO.

Shout out to our juniors playing in their last tournament in Utah. What a journey it has been watching them grow as individual players but also as teammates who care about each other and lift each other up. They are a special group of girls and we thank them for their commitment to Black Canyon!

Thanks to all the players for putting in the work, and thank you to the parents for their commitment and the sacrifices they make for their daughters to be able to play.

The team will travel to the Phoenix Volleyball Festival in June for their final tournament. It will be 🔥

🏐 Black Canyon 17s – Sara | End of Season 🏐

We wrapped up our season this weekend at the Diggin’ It in Durango tournament facing some great competition and leaving it all on the court. The girls battled hard all weekend and came up just short in the Championship of the Bronze bracket.

While the outcome wasn’t exactly what we hoped for, this team showed so much growth, grit, and heart throughout the season. So proud of this group and the way they fought until the very end. The future is bright for every one of these girls.

Coach Sue got things started with some ball control drills, and then the “adult athletes” took the court to show off their skills. Let’s just say… if their volleyball game didn’t quite match their daughters’, their smack talk game was 🔥😄.
Such a fun way to wrap up our season!

Last practice for Montrose 15s and 16s. Big thank you to Coaches Leslie, Kiev, Emily, and Kenzie for all the time and heart they gave to their teams this season. Thank you to the players for their commitment and dedication to the club season. Lots of hard work, much growth, great memories, and lifelong connections!
