If you're a high school catcher (or the parent of one) who wants to build a throw that helps you get recruited and perform once you get there,

DM me 'POPTIME' and we'll ask you a few questions to see if the program is a good fit for you.

You already know your throw has more in it.

The question is what you are actually going to do about it.

You can keep piecing things together on your own.

You actually can get there that way. It just takes longer and there is no guarantee the pieces ever come together the right way.

Or you can understand that the recruiting landscape right now is competitive.

The catchers getting attention this summer started building this throw last fall. The window does not wait.

Zach decreased his pop time from a 2.11 to a 1.91. Added 6 miles an hour to his velocity. Went on to commit to play college baseball.

The difference between where he was and where he is now is not more effort. It is not more exposure. It is a system he could commit to. One he could trust to get him the results he was after as long as he put the work in.

That is the only difference.

Every catcher I was competing against could receive. Could block. Could hit.

My throw was the one thing that could actually set me apart.

I caught Division 1 baseball at Illinois State. Led my team to a conference championship and an NCAA Regional.

I was throwing 88 miles an hour from the crouch as a sophomore in high school, not because I had some gift, but because I became obsessed with understanding the throw specific to catchers. I knew what it could open for me and I refused to leave it to chance.

After my playing days ended that obsession never went away.

Now I work with catchers who understand the same thing I did, that the throw is the separator.

That the guys you are competing against for a roster spot can all receive and block and hit. And that the one piece that actually sets you apart is the one most catchers are leaving on the table.

The connection between your front knee and your back knee is a rubber band.

The more you stretch it, front knee driving away from a grounded backside, the harder everything gets pulled through into your throw. That stretch is where the power comes from. Not the arm. Not effort. The stretch.

But the second that front knee closes off instead of staying directional the rubber band goes slack. There is nothing to pull through. The throw has to be forced instead of released.

The line to second base is everything. From the moment the knee starts to drive, directional, directional, directional, all the way through foot strike, that line needs to be respected. When the front foot hits and everything is on that line you have a clear runway to rotate through and the throw comes out fast and easy.

Coil into the backside. Drive the knee on that line. Stretch the rubber band as hard as you can and hold it.

That is how you get pulled through your throw instead of forcing your way through it.

Woodrow came into the program with a 2.27 poptime, and a 2.31 average poptime.

After phase 1 of the program, Woodrow is down to a 1.94 PR and a 1.99 average poptime.

-.33 shaved off poptime PR
-.32 shaved off his average PR

And this is only through 1/5th of the program….

Chase Storey threw out his first steal attempt of the summer against a team with the most stolen bases in the league. Proceeded to throw out 2 more in the next game... That's the work WORKING.

Simeon White, a rising Junior in the 2028 class came to us with a 2.09 program entry best time and a 2.10-2.20 average.

Super athletic and twitchy kid, so it wasn’t hard to see his potential.

With a deeper understanding of his throw and while working through the ‘Drop Your PopTime Program,

Simeon hit a 1.87 PR and was pretty dang consistent in that 1.90-2.00 range.

High school catchers looking to play college baseball, is your pop time and velocity the one part of your game holding you back? 👇

This month I am taking on 12 catchers who want to decrease their pop time by .1 or more and increase their velocity by 2 to 5mph. Follow the plan, and if you do not hit those numbers within 12 weeks I will keep working with you until you do.

This is specifically for the catcher sitting in that 2.1 to 2.2 range with mid to low 70s velocity behind the plate who knows there is more in the tank.

Seth joined the program at a 2.21. He is down to a 1.96.

Zach is down to a 1.97 and took his velocity from 74 to 77.

Holden hit a 1.87 PR...

Aaron increased his velocity from 72 to 77 and added 7mph to his pulldown velocity.

If you want access to the exact same program these guys went through DM me the word 'POPTIME' and I (or my team...) will ask you a few questions to see if you would be a good fit for one of the spots available.
