Arizona’s hardest fighting fish isn’t what you think…(hint, it lives in the Arizona canals).
Today, it was a few giant grass carp, and lots of laughs, along the way.
If you’ve never chased carp on a fly rod, you’re missing one of the most challenging and rewarding fish in the Southwest.

Winston has been with AZ Fly Shop since day one, and visiting their factory in Twin Bridges gave us a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship, heritage, and people behind the rods. A few days fishing the Ruby Valley didn’t hurt either. Already planning the next trip. 🎣
