How It Started
On June 30, 2008 three women met in a garage driven by the same goal that motivates many: to get in shape. Each morning, Jason, (one of the women’s husbands) posted a workout that challenged the women’s muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. The workouts were short, but very intense and results came quickly with the tweaking of nutrition. The three women became walking adve
rtisements and each began to hear the same questions, “What have you been doing and how can I be a part of it?”
After three months the garage was packed at 5:30am by those desiring the same results, but Jason noticed an unhealthy focus developing towards physical appearance. He gave an impromptu devotion from the Word of God that helped refocus the attention on what really mattered, “honoring God with our bodies.” From that devotion, Trinity Fitness was born…an exercise program that focuses on the spiritual while working out the physical to honor God with our bodies. Trinity’s vision: Healthy people inside and out. People are seeing the value and catching the link between their physical and spiritual wellbeing. They truly go hand in hand. All this ministry and outreach began out of one garage which reached its potential due to limited space and only one trainer. Imagine the impact on souls that a ministry like this can have on a community with a few thousand square feet of space and multiple trainers. Core Verse: “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things holding promise for the present life and the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8
At Trinity Fitness we only have 3 simple rules:
1. Honor God by giving your best effort— we are not here to compete or compare with each other. Here at TF we want to create an atmosphere that inspires and encourages people to get into the best shape of their lives. We want you leaving encouraged about your journey of progress.
2. Respect the group by being on time. This is super important, because we believe the prayer and devo to be the most important part of TF. If we have someone coming in late, it’s just a sign of disrespect to the group and the trainers. Everybody's time is valuable. If you are 15 minutes late we will ask you to come to the next class because we have already warmed up and it has become more of a health concern for injury.
3. Have a positive and coachable attitude at all times. There will be moments where you think, “I can’t do this” or “I quit.” Before that verbally comes out and effects everyone else around you, just step away from that exercise and be reminded that God is BIG and He is able to supply all your needs. So it might just be a moment where you ask God for the strength. Remember, you are here to give your best effort, so take your time today. There may be some exercises that you haven’t done. All these exercises are functional movements, movements you do everyday. Some you will be good at, and some not so good. Being coachable will allow us to help you get better. That's it! We hope you are blessed by this ministry!
