The GCU Dance Team is an athletic dance performance team that supports, promotes, entertains, and represents Grand Canyon University through school spirit, pride, tradition, and student involvement. We are ONE dance team consisting of two squads; performing together and/or separately at GCU Athletic events, and at university relations events on campus and in the community.

Grand Canyon University is seeking Graduate Assistants for the GCU Dance Team to:

• Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of coaching a Division I intercollegiate program

• Organize and facilitate team community service projects, fundraisers, special events and camps

• Create and update team rosters, calendars, press releases, and newsletter

• Order and organize team apparel, uniforms, costumes

• Update and track team budget and spending

• Coach practices and contests

• Recruit talented student-athletes

• Promotion and develop the sports program

✨It’s Back! Our 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, a dance clinic that works for you!

This unique opportunity for high school and college dancers is to gain individual feedback by the GCU Dance Team coaching staff. As this is a video-only event, dancers with busy schedules or who are unable travel to campus, can take advantage of this experience from their home and home studios!

This workshop is only open for one week, registration opens March 6th!

Prepare for college dance team tryouts at one of our clinics: 3 style combos, technique training & skills, tryout tips, mock interview, & much more!

All participants receive individualized feedback from coaches and veteran members, and take home a booklet full of tips for preparing for tryouts, headshots & resume, sample tryout attire, and scoring rubrics.

Top dancers can receive 1st Cut Bypass for our 2026 Team GCU Dance Team Tryouts

Clinic open to all HS & College age dancers; great for dancers trying out for ANY college team!
