Whether someone is looking for a hunter, event prospect, dressage project, trail partner, or all around sport horse type, he offers a nice blank slate with plenty of potential.

Rebounding Sporthorses is looking for a part time working student in Leesburg, VA beginning June 1

Looking for a fun, educational barn opportunity with real saddle time? Rebounding Sporthorses is accepting applications for a part time working student position. This can be a summer position or an extended commitment for the right person.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious rider who wants to improve, ride consistently, learn in a professional program, and gain experience with quality horses in training, sales, and development.

The right candidate should be 18 or older, reliable, motivated, and comfortable walking, trotting, cantering, and jumping 2' to 2'6". Guaranteed rides are available every work day, with at least 2 to 3 lessons per week included. Showing opportunities may also be available for the right fit.

Schedule is flexible, but we do need someone available 3 weekends per month. Work days are Tuesday through Sunday.

Responsibilities include feeding, general farm help, assisting with horses, and barn work as needed. This is not a heavy mucking position.

Must have your own transportation. No living quarters available.

This is a great fit for someone who wants to learn, ride, be part of a positive program, and get hands on experience in a professional sporthorse environment.

BROODMARE LEASE – “Toffee” (Jockey Club: Cielo Lady)

Available for broodmare lease – open or with a breeding to Obi One Latour (Bien Sur), a Selle
Français stallion (dark bay pictured).
Toffee is a Thoroughbred mare and has previously been bred (not a maiden). She is offered for
broodmare use only.
She is an easy keeper with no special maintenance required beyond routine care. Currently
barefoot, she does require trims every 4 weeks to maintain comfort and balance.
Straightforward and uncomplicated in management, she is well suited for a broodmare program.
Lease available open or with breeding to Obi One Latour/Bien Sur.

Charlie is a fun, versatile “move up” type with experience to 3’6 and below. He is a steady packer in
the ring with the scope and personality for hunters, jumpers, or equitation. Best suited for a junior or
amateur rider looking to gain mileage and show experience. He is a spur/push ride and does best
with a soft but confident rider.
• 3 rides/week (includes one weekend day)

KARMA – 16.2h | 7yo Holsteiner Mare
Karma is a brave, forward-thinking mare who will take you to the fence every time. She is a great
match for a jumper rider who likes a bold, honest ride or someone developing their eye and
distances. Very business-like, no buck/rear/spook. Limited show miles but always handles the
environment well.
• 3 rides/week (one weekend day)
• Weekly lessons required
• Showing strongly encouraged

SWEETS – 17.2h | 9yo Hanoverian Mare
Sweets is a sensitive, expressive mare with Grand Prix dressage breeding and scope for hunters,
jumpers, or fox hunting. She is currently coming back into work and requires a confident, quiet rider.
Once she trusts her person, she becomes incredibly rewarding and talented.
• 3–4 rides/week
• Weekly lessons required (bi-weekly possible after first month)

Kisses is the ultimate confidence-building packer. She has successfully brought a junior from 2’ to
2’9 and has schooled up to 3’6. She excels in the hunters but also enjoys jumpers, fox hunting (First
Flight), or eventing. Sweet, easy, and straightforward.

Big news is on the horizon for Rebounding Sporthorses… ✨

We’re excited to announce that we’re moving to a beautiful new farm just outside Middleburg, VA! This next chapter allows us to grow, expand, and better serve both our horses and clients.

Our new facility is designed with both comfort and performance in mind, featuring 12x12 matted stalls, a spacious outdoor ring, and a galloping field to keep horses happy, fit, and thriving. We also offer reliable transport for incoming horses and sales horses, making transitions seamless for our clients.

With this move, we’re proud to introduce several new offerings:

-Consignment board for quality sales horses

-Boarding options for VA certified Thoroughbreds

Our mission has always been to develop confident horses and successful partnerships, and this new facility gives us the perfect space to do just that at an even higher level.

We are very excited to add “Simoom” to our program! Currently 17 hands at 3 years old, she is expected to mature to 17.3 and we have future fox hunter hopes for this girl! 🥂🦊

Simoom found her home with Barb’s Gray Girl. We know they will fatten this girl right back up.

Rebounding Sporthorses is currently offering ***free*** riding time for the right rider.

Based in Philomont, VA.

We are looking for intermediate riders and above who enjoy mostly flatwork and hacking out. Riders should be comfortable riding independently and interested in consistent saddle time on developing sport horses.

We are looking for someone who can commit to riding three (or more) days per week. A reference from your current trainer is required.

For the right match, there may also be opportunities to attend local shows at cost.
