Little town, big rodeo, big smiles, good times. July 30-31-August 1, 2026. Join us in Phillipsburg, Kansas! We start at 8 pm on August 5-6-7, 2021 with rodeo.

Kansas' Biggest Rodeo is 3 nights of great family entertainment. There's a parade on Sat., August 7, at 2 pm, plus slack is at 7 pm on August 3-4, 2021. Our annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink night is August 5. Come on out and make memories with your family and friends at the Phillipsburg rodeo!

This is Ricky’s recipe for award-winning ground.
Sow radish, turnips, sorghum and wheat. It comes up in the fall, dies when it freezes, and comes back up in the spring.
Let it grow, then disc it under in early summer.
It adds compost to the soil and allows it to absorb more water at rodeo time.
A big thanks to LandMark Implement for use of the tractor during rodeo time, and Jones Feed & Seed for donating the seed.

We’re honored to receive the Justin Best Footing Award for the Prairie Circuit for the sixth consecutive year! It means the barrel racers trust their horses in our arena, that it’s safe for their equine partners and the riders. A lot of heart, passion and toil goes into the arena conditions. Good ground = good competition, and that’s our goal!

Happy birthday to committee member Ricky Solida, who knows how to dish the dirt! ▪ Ricky’s been driving the Deere, making the ground as perfect as possible for the horses and contestants. 🎂🚜
▪ But he does more than that! He works with ticketing and the ticketing company, and he organizes the grand entry and helps his wife Sheila with the flag girls. 🎟
▪ He’s handy with a skidsteer, and he’s willing to go the extra mile for whatever is needed for the rodeo, like picking up the new roping chute last year.
