We will be open today (4/24) from 9am-7pm and tomorrow (4/25) from 10am-Noon for you to drop off your frozen meat. If those days do not work, just give us a call/text at 814-221-6208

With regular hunting seasons coming to a close, we are happy to say that we processed more deer this year than ever before and we are so thankful to all of the hunters who helped us achieve that!

We are changing our hours for this time of the year so that we can process as efficiently as possible. We are still accepting DMAP deer, quarters, and boneless meat. If you need to stop in outside of these hours, just call or text and we will do our best to accommodate!

I've had multiple questions this year about the cost of grinding boneless meat- listed at $.50/lb. This is the cost ONLY if you are bringing us clean chunked meat and asking us to just grind it and give it back so that you can take it home as burger. (If you cut your own deer and do not own a grinder, this would apply to you.)

IF you are bringing us meat to make into smoked products for you, we prefer that the meat be brought in as clean (no hair, no dirt, no fat) chunks and we will grind it right when we make your products. Your meat will hold water better that way. We can absolutely still use already ground meat to make smoked product for you as well.

While we are battling being open for deer, please keep in mind that if you take your deer to another processor or cut it yourself, you are always able to bring cut meat chunked (preferably) or ground for us to make your smoked meat products. Thank you!

I go with my buddy Jason Nolf out for an evening hunt in Pennsylvania. We are using a muzzleloader.

At The Buck Stop you get your own cuts of meat back AND your own meat back in your smoked and processed products.
Because we process each batch individually, we require a minimum amount of meat for each flavor of each product that we make. That is what allows us to keep your meat separate during processing.
Minimums:
Bologna, Snack Sticks, Veni-Patty, Sausage, Lunch Meat, Pepperoni, and Reformed Jerky = 15 lbs
Hotdogs = 10 lbs
Whole Muscle Jerky = 5 lbs
Smoked Chipped Venison is made from an entire hindquarter.
**We are able to make product in any increment over these
minimums.
