Phebe Athletic Deputy Coach Eiljah Dugbah Clarifies Earlier Statement on B**g County Coaching Appointments
Phebe Athletic FC Deputy Coach Eiljah Dugbah has clarified a statement he recently made on his official page concerning the appointment of coaches to the B**g County team ahead of the upcoming National County Sports Meet.
Dugbah’s earlier post, which followed Phebe Athletic FC’s success in winning the B**g County National 3rd Division League, raised questions about the criteria being used to select coaches for the county team. In the post, he expressed disappointment over what he described as appointments being influenced by personal connections rather than coaching ability.
However, in a subsequent clarification, Dugbah said his post was not intended to suggest that he was seeking a position on the B**g County coaching staff this year.
According to the young coach, his initial reaction was specifically connected to the appointment of the Phebe Athletic FC head coach as a trainer on the B**g County technical staff.
Dugbah explained that his involvement with the B**g County team last year came after he was personally invited by the then-coach to join the technical setup and gain experience, rather than through a direct appointment from the county.
“For now, I am more focused on my school and other responsibilities rather than working with the county team,” Dugbah stated in his clarification.
The Phebe Athletic deputy coach also emphasized that he has no issues with any of the coaches appointed to the B**g County technical staff, describing them as his senior brothers and colleagues with whom he has worked previously.
He further stressed that he does not wish to see anyone fail and believes in supporting the success of others.
Dugbah concluded by congratulating and wishing all the appointed coaches success in their respective roles, while reaffirming his commitment to developing his coaching career.
He described himself as a “B**g incoming coach” and said he is looking toward the future with confidence and humility.
