Matthew DeMeritt is best known for his extraordinary contribution to Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. As a young performer, Matthew portrayed E.T. inside the famous costume for key movement sequences, using his remarkable ability to walk on his hands to create the distinctive movements that helped bring the character to life.
