University of Pennsylvania Women's Rowing Team

The origins of Penn Women's Rowing can be traced back to 1934 and when the sport was offered and taught as a class. In 1967 the sport returned to campus as a club sport and then was promoted to varsity status in 1975 to become the 14th women's varsity athletic team at Penn. Penn competes in the Ivy League - the most competitive academic and athletic conference in the country. The goal and mission

of Penn Women's Rowing is to be a championship-caliber squad that focuses on the entire university experience of our student-athletes.
