People love to exercise only the parts of their body they love to exercise. This kind of programming will always lead to muscle imbalances. Muscle balance in your body is crucial for joint health and preventing injury. Working opposing muscle groups evenly as well as working head to toe will assure that you are creating balance and symmetry throughout your body.

Lack of flexibility is an epidemic! 😳

Let’s face it, most of us sit 8 hours a day and maybe exercise for 1 hour at max. That’s a huge discrepancy! With decreased flexibility comes higher risk for injury and daily discomfort in muscles and joints. One of the ways we help our clients increase flexibility is through partner assisted stretching. This form of stretching allows for a deeper and more intensive stretch. It also allows for better form and increased benefits from PNF stretching. We feel the benefits are far better than solo self stretching. The cherry on top is it’s a great cool down and relaxing end to a workout.

Happy New Year!

2024 was a great year and we couldn’t be more thankful. Our clients are crushing their goals, we welcomed many new people to the Functionally Fit family, and we continue to do what we love! One of our resolutions stays the same every year, to change as many lives as we can. In 2024 we did it and 2025 will be even better. Thank you to all of our clients for making 2024 a great year.
