Diamond Dawgs And Vogt end officially in a 2-2 Tie after 6.

Vogt opened the scoring in the fifth after scoring two runs.

The Diamond Dawgs tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a triple by JJ, and a ground out by Zavier V.

JJ pitched relief for Diamond Dawgs. The pitcher gave up one hit and two runs while, striking out eight and walking two. Zavier started the game for surrendering two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out nine and walking two.

Jacob D and JJ each collected one hit for Diamond Dawgs while hitting back-to-back. JJ and Zavier each drove in one run. The Diamond Dawgs had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Landon B and Joseph H led the team with two walks each. Lucas and PJ did great behind the plate with both of them catching three innings each.

The teams played an unofficial 7th inning with Parkwood scoring 1 and Vogt scoring 2. Thanks to Vogt for playing a tough but fair game of baseball. We see them again later in this season.

Next up for Diamond Dawgs is a game at Port Richmond Tigers on Saturday.

Both teams were strong on the bump on Wednesday, but Diamond Dawgs defeated Torresdale Wood 3-2.

Torresdale Wood took an early 1-0 lead in the first and went up 2-0 lead in the fourth. The Diamond Dawgs finally got things going in the fifth inning after Nicky D walked, PJ C was struck by a pitch, and Landon walked, each scoring one run. Landon’s RBI from the walk proved to be the game winner as our pitching came in to secure the win.

JJ earned the win for Diamond Dawgs. The reliever surrendered two hits and one run. Zavier started the game and was stellar on the mound. Striking out 9 and letting up one hit. Antonio P collected the save in a nail biter in the last inning.

Screamers Take Lead And Never Look Back In Win, 15-5, Over Calvary AA Wallace on Tuesday.

Screamers opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Screamers first got on the board when Everett U singled, scoring one run.

Screamers flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 7-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Izan R that drove in three.

Screamers extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Everett and Shael C.

Screamers scored five runs on one hit in the top of the fourth inning. Luke C singled, scoring two runs, Everett drew a walk, scoring one run, Joey B drew a walk, scoring one run, and Landon H drew a walk, scoring one run.

Pitching and great defense helped keep the Calvary offense in check. Diego’s hustle getting to a hard hit ball to right field and getting it to second base kept the batter to a single and proved to be a rally blocker. That hustle and heads up play from the first year player helped set Izan up for his 3rd K of the inning. Diego was rewarded by getting hit by the pitch the next inning and then came around to score.

Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 16 walks for the game. Screamers also stole 10 bases in the game.

The Parkwood Bombers 12U improved to 2-0 with a win over Vogt last night. Jace R, Sean W, and James H each had two hits and Ben S and Stephen S turned a double play in the field 💣

The Parkwood Bombers 12U started the PPR Fall Ball Season last night with a win over Port Richmond. Jace R threw three scoreless innings on the mound while striking out seven batters. Michael F had 2 RBIs and Austin S generated a run with a steal of home. 💣 ⚾️

Coach Dave’s 12U team started the PPR Fall Ball season with a 2-0 weekend with wins against Vogt and Port Richmond. In game 1 against Vogt, Jake D pitched 3 scoreless innings letting up no hits and collecting an impressive 7Ks.

In game 2 against Port Richmond, Jaxson D went 2-2 with a 3-run home run and 4RBIs!

Coach Anderson’s 8U Diamond Dawgs took down the Wildcats - RISING 9S, 10-7 on Friday in a friendly matchup.

The Diamond Dawgs got on the board in the top of the first inning after the Wildcats committed an error, and PJ grounded into a double play, each scoring one run. Nicky D also scored on an errant throw making the score 3-0.

The Diamond Dawgs scored seven runs on two hits in the top of the third inning. Bringing the score to 10-0. Zavier doubled, scoring two runs, Nicky D was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Connor, Landon, and Lucas drew walks. Each driving in one run, Liam singled, scoring one run.

The Wildcats scored seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. JJ came in relief to close the door.

Zavier earned the win for Diamond Dawgs. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking two.

If you’re yelling instruction to your kid from the stands while his coach is trying to coach him from the field, you’re not helping.

You’re making him choose.

Coach says stay.

Dad screams GO.

Coach says shorten up.

Mom yells swing hard.

Coach tells him to throw strikes.

Dad is behind the back stop yelling
about his elbow.

Then everybody wonders why the kid looks lost.

Here’s the part some parents won’t like.

You paid someone else to coach your kid.

So let them coach.

Your kid doesn’t need two hitting coaches, three pitching coaches and a base coach disguised as a parent sitting behind the fence.

He needs ONE voice when he’s between those lines.

From the stands, your job is to be his parent.

Let his coach be the coach.
