Alright, so it's Cold & Flu season & we are still fighting COVID-19. What can you do to stay healthy?
1. Hygiene, simple but effective. Wash your hands frequently, if possible carry hand sanitizer with you.
2. Flu Shots, this option isn't for everyone and we get it! For those electing to get the flu shot we recommend you get it sooner rather than later. Supplies may become limited with more folks anticipated to get the shot this year than ever before.
3. Nutrition & Hydration, easier said than done. Tips to help you be effective; Meal Prep - each week create a game plan for meals/snacks you will be eating for the week. Crock pot dishes & soups are a big hit this time of year (message us if you need some recipes :) Hydration - when you wake up in the morning get 2 glasses of water in before you start your day. Great for getting the body started & setting you up for a good day.
4. Sleep, Get a minimum 6-8 hours of sleep every night. Create new routines and ditch the TV & phone before bed. Stretch, Read or write down your thoughts for things that need done the next day. You'll be amazed at how much better you sleep.
5. Last but not least, EXERCISE - Staying active during this time of year is vital. It will help you not only avoid getting sick, but could reduce the time you are sick in the event you do get the flu. Also, it's the holiday season so staying active could help you resist all the access weight gain as well.
