Good Rods Take Time.

Well, the first five bamboo fly rods are gone!

We have officially started taking orders for the next batch, and apparently you guys aren't messing around.

November and December are already sold out, and January isn't far behind.

These rods take time to make, and we're not particularly interested in rushing the process. Good rods take time.

If you've been thinking about having one made, now would be a pretty good time to get on the list.

WR 0003 is taking shape!

We're working on the bamboo butt sections for Jake's new Wayward Rod, headed to Maryland.

The current batch of rods is sold out, and with everything else happening in the Wayward shop, we're keeping production small. Just 2–3 rods are planned as we work through our existing commitments. HRAD TO THE WEBSITE TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT ON THE BUILD LIST.

If you've been thinking about getting your own Wayward bamboo fly rod, head over to the website and reserve your spot.

There's a lot of work between a piece of bamboo and a finished fly rod. Here's a little look at what goes into it!

The FIRST FIVE Wayward Bamboo Fly Rods have SOLD OUT!

Now it's time to get your name on the list for the next batch!

We're starting with just two rods per month, with plans to increase production as our other projects allow.

We absolutely love making these rods, and we want every single one to be as amazing as we can make it. That takes time, and we're not interested in rushing the process.

If you want a Wayward Rod of your own, head over to the website and place your order to reserve your spot. The ordering system should give you an estimated production timeline so you'll know how far out we are.

We're excited to see where this next batch takes us!

THE PUCK is in my truck at all times. I keep about 20 essential flies in there, and it's clipped to my waders if I'm getting in the water, or to my belt if I'm just casting from shore or rolling up my pants to wet-wade a little.

Perfect for the minimalist who likes to keep things simple.

Love the Puck.

A little engraving inspiration from the Wayward archives!
Free Engraving on all Deck boxes. Holiday shopping made easy
Here are five examples of engravings we've done on past fly fishing nets. We love making a good net, but we really love when someone gives us an excuse to make it their own.

Take a look through these and tell us which one is your favorite. Or better yet, what would you have engraved on yours?

This is one of the first epoxy nets we ever made.

Our style has evolved quite a bit since then. Can you spot what's changed?

Some rods have a story. Why not put a little of that story on the tube?

Grandpa's name. The river where you caught your first trout. A date worth remembering. Or something that wouldn't mean a thing to anybody but you.

Our new Wayward Walnut Rod Tubes have a generous 1" by 15" surface for engraving, so there's plenty of room to make one your own.

Free Engraving! - Add Engraving to your order and $30 will com off of your final tab.

Take a look through the photos and think about what you'd put on yours.

Not every rod needs a special home. But some certainly do.

Available now. Link in bio.

Maple is usually pretty boring. Think of a baseball bat... it's just blond wood.

But burl maple and spalted maple? WOW.

It's like the wood version of a geode. And the best part? You never know exactly what it's going to look like!

FREE ENGRAVING on all boxes and wallets.
