We’re backkkkk!!!
After a bit of a hiatus, we are excited to get back on the pitch, and we have heard from the boys you are to. We apologize in advance for the short turnaround, but when the opportunity presented itself, we needed to jump on it.
Philadelphia United will be playing 2 matches against Young Glory in Maryland on February 3. Young Glory is coming off a great fall test series, and will serve as a formidable opponent.
Identification camp will be on held on Sunday, January 14 at Media RFC’s Pitch (746 W Rose Tree Rd., Media Pa 19063) to select the squads. Coaches have analyzed film from the EPRU red/black game which will gives coaches more film on some to base selections, however attendance at tryout is still required. There is no cost to attend the camp, or play in match should you be selected. Only cost to player is jersey (if don’t already have) which you keep.
The camp is open to any Men’s/Collegiate player 18+ years of age regardless of Union affiliation, however emphasis will be geared towards players playing in the EPRU, or colleges playing within EPRU boundaries. Player must be registered with USA Rugby.
Lastly, we are happy to announce that Philadelphia United will work in concert with EPRU to ensure select side needs of the Union are being met. As this partnership grows, we look forward to more exciting opportunities.
How to register:

· Head shot of yourself holding a sign that identifies your name and club (Only needed if have never tried out, or played for United)
· Confirm you can attend the training session (held after ID camp), and match noted below.
Schedule:
Identification Camp: Sunday, January 14 – 9am to 12pm – Media RFC’s Pitch -746 W Rose Tree Rd., Media Pa 19063
Training Session(s) (for those selected): Wednesday, January 24, 8 to 10pm & Wednesday, January 31, 8 to 10pm – Greater Philadelphia Area (One session may become a virtual team film session)
Match: Saturday, February 3 vs. Young Glory 1st XV and 2nd XV – Time and Location (will be in Maryland) TBD
*If you cannot attend the camp and want to be considered, you must still register. Players could be considered for selection on an extremely limited basis with overwhelming recommendation from multiple coaches throughout the area.
