OUT On The Trails: Part One ✅ Complete

This weekend, we had our first installment of our four-part trail series in Wissahickon Valley Park. 🌲🌲🌲 We made some new friends, ran & walked some miles on the trails, and learned a little bit about how we can create more inclusive running spaces together.

BIG thank you HOKA for providing trail shoes for us, snacks & refreshments, and the swag and shoes for giveaways!

To Chasing Trail for providing some Trail Running safety tips and etiquette at the beginning of the run!

We’re excited to do this again in February and continue to improve LGBTQIA+ Trail Running accessibility and comfortability in more parks in Eastern Pennsylvania!🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Let’s get physical. 🏋️

Join us Tuesday, January 17th at 5:00AM for an introductory strength class at Evolve Fitness in Old City! The class will be taught by Q***r Run member, Luis Salazar, and is open to everyone in the community!

Never done a strength class before? This is the perfect time to try it out!

Flatter shoes are recommended for this, for more stability & control in some of the strength exercises. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all!

The class is capped at 15 people, so message us to grab your spot now!

Jazz Hands Everybody! 👐

It’s showtime folks, we’re officially back for 2023! Tonight we officially hit 150 unique runners at our weekly runs! Thank you to everyone in the community for supporting us, for showing up, and for running! 🎉

We had another successful run tonight and welcomed more new faces to Q***r Run! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We won’t be having a run on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but will be offering some alternative workouts next week instead! Stay tuned for more details.

In the meantime, join us this Wednesday at 6pm for our monthly Manayunk run with Altra! Or if you’re an early bird, we have our Thursday morning run at 6am, followed by a coffee social at Elixr.

Q***r Run is heading to the trails in 2023. 🌲 🌲 🌲

In this four-part trail series entitled "Out On The Trails", we, alongside HOKA, will be visiting different parks in Eastern Pennsylvania the final Sunday of each month.

For the first installation, our running & walking event will take place in Wissahickon Valley Park on Sunday, January 29th. Details on parts two, three and four are coming soon!

Trail running is known as a sport that prides itself on being a community of individuals in constant support of each other; your competitors will often lend you a hand in races if you’re in need, long-lasting friendships are created easily, and the essence of camaraderie is always in the air.

Although the trail running community is welcoming to most, transgender and non-binary athletes have yet to be fully included and accepted in the sport.

Through our trail series, Q***r Run hopes to strengthen relationships between q***r runners and other trail and ultrarunning communities throughout the region. In addition to this, our goal is to educate trail & ultrarunning communities, race organizers, and athletic event leaders in Eastern Pennsylvania and beyond, to not only incorporate non-binary athletes more, but to recognize them for the human beings that they are.

This event is open to everyone in the community, of all fitness levels! Whether you are an avid trail runner, have never run on trails before and are curious, or don’t run at all, join us!

Q***r Run is a safe space for all.

We are stronger together than we are on our own.

Has it been a full month already? We’re back!
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Join us at the PHILADELPHIA RUNNER on Main Street for our monthly Manayunk group run! This month we’re being joined by the sponsor of the 2023 Broad Street Run, Altra Running

We’ll be going on a 3-mile route, where all fitness levels are encouraged to join! We have a mid-run checkpoint where we stop and stretch, and wait for the others to catch up to ensure no one gets left behind.

Test Altra shoes on the run for free, enjoy some light snacks & refreshments, and make some new friends!

Altra will be giving away some free swag to the runners, in addition to a chance to win a pair of shoes with our free raffle!

Check out this recent article from eseo, discussing seven influential running groups in the Philadelphia region, why they formed, and their impact on the community. These groups include Liberty Track Club, Women Run West Chester, Mural Miles, Midnight Miles, Swaggahouse Run Club, and Philadelphia Runner's multiple running programs they offer.

Q***r Run made the list as group #5, and was highlighted for our focus on both mental and physical health.
