🎧 Headphones on for this one.
Note to self…
“If you’re worried about getting started, you should see the cost of staying where you are.”
I’ve spent a lot of time standing at the edge of things.
Waiting until I felt more ready.
Waiting until I had a better plan.
Waiting until I knew exactly how it would all work out.
The funny thing is, staying where we are has a cost too.
The cost of not creating.
The cost of not speaking up.
The cost of not trying.
The cost of wondering “what if?” years later.
Whether it’s learning an instrument, starting a business, healing from an injury, taking a yoga class, having a difficult conversation, or chasing something that’s been calling your name for years…
The first step is usually the hardest part.
I’ve learned a lot of these lessons through music. Playing bass taught me that growth rarely feels comfortable at first. You miss notes. You get lost. You start over. Then one day, what felt impossible starts to feel natural.
Keep moving.
One note.
One breath.
One step at a time.
May your direction be to your peace.
