9U District and World Series Champions
As for the ALL Star season the team went 17-5 record. Scoring 212 runs while allowing 41 earned runs.
First let me start by saying, I have always enjoyed coaching this team of boys. Many of them now I have been coaching for 3+ years. It has been an amazing experience. This team however, would not be the same without the amazing coaching staff we have and the amazing parents.
Stevan Mcfarland - We have coached together now for 3+ years, I lean on him a lot and while he is quiet he has the best interest of this team and the boys at heart, very knowledgeable about baseball and he has our outfield being one of the best in 9U Baseball.
Justin Hamilton - Our first base coach, hitting coach, and motivator of the team, we have also been together for 3+ years and he helps get these kids alive. He is very much the heart of the team.
Colby Cameron - Been coaching with him for 2+ years now. Helps with anything needed, jack of all trades helps these boys stay focused and keeps them on track. While quite like stevan when he talks the kids listen. I always welcome colbys input.
Josh Bohannon - Newest addition to our coaching team, Josh has been an amazing help in the development of our team. Helping with defense and base running along with technical skills the team has been working on.
We actually have many other people that help which makes our family so strong.
Parker Still, Jeremy Fletcher, Rob Gibson all help at some practices. It's amazing the support we have on this team.
Our moms of the teams are also top notch all bringing something special to the team, I learn all them all a lot. I appreciate all of their hard work and dedication they all bring to the team.
Westside 2022 9U All-Stars ended with a Bang. We had great competition at our warmup and district Tournament. Fairhope and all the other teams were amazing and never had issues. What a fun time. The State Tournament in Phenix City was not a great experience but things happen, we just move past them.
We decided to take this team to the USSSA World Series in GulfPort. Playing teams from Texas to Florida was an amazing experience. We went 5-1 to take home the championship.
The World Series was the perfect way to end the summer season. These boys played their hearts out, beating Millbrook, who had not lost a game in 20+ games and Hueytown whose only losses in 20+ games at the hand of Millbrook. There were 10 other teams in this tournament.
