After 2 days of great play (record of 7-0 thru the first 2 days of tournament play) by these Amazing student athletes in Dallas at yet another National Qualifier (Lone Star Classic) we're on to the Gold Bracket tomorrow morning at 8am! For a little perspective on how well these young ladies are playing the last time they lost a match at a National Qualifier was March 3rd 2023 on opening day of the 2023 Sunshine Qualifier in Orlando Florida! We lost 2 matches on opening day of pool play that day. Since then these young ladies have been tearing it up, exceeding expectations, gaining new fans and garnering looks from many college scouts! After that opening day in Orlando we finished out with 5 consecutive victories to close out the Sunshine Qualifier!
We were just warming up! The following weekend in Las Vegas at yet another National Qualifier (Red Rock Rave) these amazing athletes put it all together AND trusted each other as they went on a 10 match winning run (without losing a set!) to claim the championship in American division and in the process securing their "Bid" to play in the National Championships in Chicago the first week of July!
Which brings us to today, 2023 Lone Star Classic Dallas Texas. Great play, working as a team, sometimes having to pick each other up.... through two days of tournament play they're 7-0 and on their way to Gold Bracket play tomorrow! So on the eve of our 2nd Consecutive Gold Bracket play in our 3rd consecutive National Qualifier tournament these gifted, talented and Fierce ladies are currently sporting a 23-2 match play record through 3 National Qualifiers! Let's Finish Strong! It takes a village! The outtpouring of support from their immediate and extended families and friends to strangers and admirers who come and watch them play just because "they heard they were an amazing team to watch" these young ladies are taking it ALL IN! It's been an amazing run! Let's finish strong! Let's finish it out! GO FIERCE!
