Robert Rios brings home 4 gold medals from the WABDL Worlds Powerlifting Competition🥇🥇🥇🥇This is his second world competition and he broke the State & World Record in Bench press with a lift of 187.2 lbs and the State Record in Deadlift with a lift of 209.2 lbs. Robert worked very hard in preparation for this competition and we couldn't be more proud! WABDL

We would like to welcome Salma into our team as our assistant coach. Salma’s dream is to become a personal trainer. She plans on attending STC this Spring where she will obtain her personal trainer certification! We are proud of Salma’s dedication and are excited to see her excel!

The SPISLAND Games marks our 2nd CrossFit Competition in the books for Special Fitness! The opportunity to allow 10 of our athletes to compete this past weekend was very much appreciated. Inclusion is what we push for and .bro made this possible. Thank you to all the parents who brought your athletes out to South Padre Island to show off their hard work and dedication to physical fitness. We don’t set limits, we find opportunities!💪🏽

Come on out to the SPISLAND GAMES to watch 12 Special Fitness athletes compete in what is their first crossfit competition for many of them! Our athletes compete today at 9:30am-12 pm with awards being given at 7 pm. You will also get a chance to check out our Special Fitness vendor booth. We have new t-shirt colors to offer in dri fit military green and navy blue!

The SPIsland Games are happening soon! On September 17th some of our Special Fitness athletes will be competing in an Inclusive Division. This opportunity has not been offered before and we are so grateful for Cambro Apparel and SPIsland Games for creating this option for our athletes to compete in CrossFit. We are always looking for ways to motivate our athletes to stay healthy and fit and what better way than a CrossFit competition! Come on out Saturday, September 17th from 9 am-12 pm if you would like to see them compete!

We are beyond excited to announce that Special Fitness is now officially a delegation within Special Olympics Texas! We created Special Fitness to provide fitness training opportunities to the special needs population in the Rio Grande Valley. We especially wanted to ensure there were options for those who graduate school to continue to work on their physical fitness. A huge way to maintain physical fitness is through fitness competitions which is exactly why this opportunity through Special Olympics Texas is a perfect fit for us. Gerardo and Salma competed in their first ever crossfit competition a few weeks ago! Social Garden CrossFit We are beyond impressed by the hard work they put into preparing themselves to compete. Their performances were top notch with Gerardo coming in 3rd place and Salma coming in 4th place overall. 🥉🎖Let's give these two some praise for their hardwork and dedication to maintaining their physical fitness and competing 👏💪🏋‍♀️🏋‍♂️

We have been so blessed to have Natalie as a volunteer/Assistant Coach for Special Fitness over the past 9 months. We will miss her very much, but wish her the best on her college endeavors. Go do Great things!

For the last couple of months our athletes Gerardo & Salma have been training to compete in their first CrossFit competition. They will be competing in the Adaptive Division.
