There is a growing trend in youth sports: the second an athlete faces real friction, the parental instinct is to make excuses and look for an easier path.
At Texas United, we believe in a different standard.
The best athletes aren't the ones who never struggled. They are the ones who have parents standing at the fence, watching them face a challenge, and telling them on the car ride home: "Your coach is right. You need to work harder. What are you going to do to fix it?"
If we rob our athletes of their right to fail, we rob them of their ability to build genuine resilience. We aren't here to offer a shortcut. We are here to help players bridge the gap between being "good" and being great—and that requires being coachable when things get tough.
To the parents who back our standard, demand accountability, and trust us to push their kids out of their comfort zones: Thank you.
