May 2nd Race Recap 🏁
Hot laps felt really good- the car was hooked up and I’m starting to get more comfortable behind the wheel. The track had cones set out which made for some tight racing. Early on, another driver made a move down low and came up into my side.
Started 9th in Heat 2, still learning every lap, and ended up getting caught up in another incident that sent me into the infield. I was able to gather it back up, get back on track, and run another lap. With how everything was feeling and how the track was developing, I made the call to pull it in early and save the car.
I was scheduled for the B Main, but decided to sit it out and focus on bringing the car back in one piece.
This was only my second race ever, so nights like this are all part of the learning process. The positive is we’ve got the setup right where I like it, and I’m getting more comfortable each time I go out. Next time out, the gas pedal will be to the floor.
