August is bringing high tides, full moons, river stories, sunset paddling, free yoga, and plenty of time to simply rent a boat and get out on the water. ☀️🌊🌕

Throughout the month, you can join us for:

Free Community Yoga on the Dock
Turn to the River tours
The Petaluma River History Paddle
An Upstream High Tide Paddle
Thursday Paddle & Party
Friday Night Full Moon Pedal/Paddle
Saturday Sunset rentals

We’re also open for regular rentals every Thursday and Friday from 10 am–3 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9 am–5 pm.

On Saturday, August 15, make a whole afternoon and evening of it: join the 3:45–5:45 pm Upstream High Tide Paddle on a 6.6-foot tide, or come down later for Saturday Sunset. We’ll stay open until 8:30 pm, with the last boats out at 7:30 pm.

Get your tickets today to the annual Sunset Fandango Gala fundraising to keep environmental education alive in our public schools. This last school year, our Watershed Classroom program served over 800 students, getting them outside connecting to and learning about the Petaluma Watershed. The impact has been huge with students gaining an understanding of how they are interconnected with their local environment. Help us continue to grow this work next school year. 👀 Boat-spotters, here’s your river heads up!

The San Francisco Yacht Club will be cruising into Petaluma Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2, bringing a fleet of visiting yachts into the turning basin for the weekend.

Whether you're paddling, strolling the waterfront, enjoying a coffee by the basin, or simply curious about life on the river, it's always fun to see these larger vessels arrive in town.

If you're heading out on the water, just stay aware, be courteous, and share the channel so everyone can enjoy a safe and memorable weekend on Petaluma's Longest Park.

Many thanks to the Petaluma Yacht Club for keeping the local boating community informed about visiting cruise-ins.
