SRT Spring Challenge race recap.
Both boys pushed hard this last weekend with some highs and lows testing their determination for success.
Saturday
Qualified P10
Heat P2-P1
A Main P2-P7
Jax had a solid day and a solid A main start. Got into a tangle up mid race and fell back but ended up P7 for the day.
Qualified P7
Heat P1-P1
A Main P1-P3
Riley came out rippin and was leading 3/4 of the A running the bottom and soon after that the top came in and he got drove around. He did what he could to catch and regain positions but settled for a P3 finish.
Sunday
Qualified last- master link broke
Heat P9-P8
A Main P21-DNF
Jax had a rough start to his day with some mechanical issues but went out in the A ready to go. He was making some solid passes and was up to around P14-15 passing a pile up he clipped his left front on the parked kart and ripped it off ending his night.
Qualified P5
Dash P4-P3
A Main P7-DNF
Riley was on a mission for redemption and came out to a hot start in the A rippin around the top and quickly worked his way up to 4th. He caught 2nd and 3rd and they all came up to a kart way off of the pace, they went under the kart and Riley stayed high trying to thread the needle but the off pace kart started drifting up the track down the back stretch which closed the hole Riley was trying the sneak through and sent him into the wall ending his night after a pretty good wreck. Absolutely not the way we wanted to end our night, he showed a lot of speed and definitely had a chance at winning.
Time to rebuild the Ed Brown Trucking kart and get the 250 on the dyno so the boys can get back out and redeem themselves after our break.
