What a difference a day and a half makes
when you have a dedicated grounds crew and superintendent/greenskeeper, Cliff Helvie. The Muni was hit with a severe storm Monday evening . We closed Tuesday to get the course cleaned up. Cliff and his crew hit the road working tirelessly Monday evening and all day Tuesday to get the Muni opened up Wednesday. What an effort! Great job! The Muni is back looking as good as it ever has. Thank you

Peru Municipal G.C, held their Junior Golf Clinic July 6,7,8. Thanks to everyone involved to make this program so successful! The golf clinic was free to all juniors 4-14 years old. Harvey Hinklemyers sponsored our clinic with meals and T-Shirts for all the juniors for three days.
High school golf coaches from all three of our county high schools volunteered their
time and shared their golfing skills with the young golfers. JJ Burns, Peru High School,
Tait Wagner, Maconaquah High School,
Daryn Sturch, North Miami High School.
Special thanks to former North Miami High School golf coach, Jon Mavrick, for organizing and the scheduling each day.
Thanks to all the volunteers who assisted with the clinic, sharing their golfing skills, and assisting with whatever needed to be done. Thanks to our Muni Pro Shop staff for their courteous and professional assistance. It was a great junior golf clinic, let’s make next year even better!

In celebration of Independence Day, the Peru Municipal G.C. has placed pins with our American Flag on greens. Please show respect for our flag by placing it on the holder provided on the edge of the green and not letting our flag touch the ground.

A special day at the “Muni” hosting the Little City Jr. Tour. We had the pleasure of enjoying 63 junior golfers be challenged on the beautiful Peru Municipal Golf Course. Thanks to James Burns and the Little City Junior Tour for including the Peru Muni on their list of great courses for their summer tour.
Thanks to all the spectators coming out and supporting our junior golfers! I would also like to thank our Pro Shop Staff for making the day special and flawless! And behind the scenes is our Superintendent / Greenskeeper Cliff Helvie and his crew who have done an outstanding job on the grounds. The “Muni” is in beautiful condition. Everyone is invited to come play and enjoy the “Muni”.
