Hey all - fundraising update!

👟 We are collecting used cleats and other gently used equipment still. There is a bin in the shed with wheels on it - black with yellow lid. You are welcome to drop anything you have in there! Sooner the better please!

🍫 Chocolate comes in this week. Get ready to receive that! Everyone gets 2 boxes to start and can have more as they hand in that money. $80 a box is due by Thursday, September 3rd for the first two boxes. That gives you two weeks!

🍿 Concessions stand will be set up on Sunday, 9/13 because we have 7 home games. The Dogfather will be there to sell from his food truck as well and is donating back 15% from profits. Any donated items will have to be submitted by Thursday, September 10th pretty please and thank you very much! I will post a schedule for volunteers soon.

Week two for K-2 Flag is in the books. We focused on skill acquisition this week: Blocking, Pursuit, Flag Pulling and even mixed in repping plays. This allowed us to evaluate, formulate the rosters and eventually scrimmage each-other. It’s a lot for the kids to digest but you can truly see the progress from day to day. We are trying to keep each kid in a single position so that it’s easier for them to memorize where they line up and what they are supposed to do. As they become more familiar with their role, then we will expand their role.

Game jerseys and most pants were handed out. If you didn’t receive them or need a different size please see us next week. Looking forward to week 3.

Our K-2 flag team wrapped up an awesome first week of practice! The effort, energy, and enthusiasm these kids have brought every day has been incredible, and we can’t wait to watch them continue to learn, grow, and have fun this season.

The wait is finally over, football is back! Today marks the beginning of a new season filled with hard work, new friendships, unforgettable memories, and plenty of Nighthawk pride.

Whether it’s your first practice or you’re returning for another season, we’re excited to watch every player grow both on and off the field.

Come early to receive all of your gear. Practice commences at 5:30.

See you at Sullivan Park!

The Cleat Drive is back!!! We will start collecting used cleats for donations the first week of practice. We will also accept lightly used equipment from other sports you have laying the garage. As always - thanks for helping other kids get the opportunity to play the sport! 🏈
