ng sport or a class to take to get into shape. It is a sport of Korean Martial Arts. It is an exhilarating way to keep physically fit, but it is also a way of life that leads to greater self-confidence, self-discipline and personal growth. "Tae Kwon" means hand and feet fighting, and "Do" means a way of life. When on learns any form of martial arts, one is actually learning how not to fight and to be service to others - a vital, energized human being. It seems reasonable to point out that a person who has trained their body and is confident in themselves will feel far less vulnerable and therefore behaves differently in many situations rather than a person with an untrained and uncoordinated body. Above and beyond all goals in Tae Kwon Do. "Do" is the ultimate goal of self improvement. By improving yourself, the student improves mankind. Through the acquisitions of Taw Kwon Do tenets, or aims, he/she becomes a model to his/her peers. These are as follows:
