📢 OPERATIONAL UPDATE: High Water Management at Northern Indiana Reservoirs 🌧️

Following last week's heavy rainfall (up to 8 inches in some areas), the USACE Chicago District is actively managing water levels at J.E. Roush, Salamonie, and Mississinewa lakes.

Current Action: Since Sept. 17, we have maintained minimum water releases at all three dams to protect downstream communities.

What's Next: The Wabash River is forecasted to crest above minor flood stage in the coming days near Wabash and Lafayette. Once downstream conditions are safe, we will gradually increase outflows—starting at J.E. Roush, followed by Salamonie and Mississinewa.

Our Priority: Our team is working 24/7, monitoring the dams, the Wabash River, and its tributaries to safely return the reservoirs to their normal pools.
