Hats off to these 4 incredible ladies and 2 great coaches! Teresa Gray stepped up to coach our 17u’s today when they had no coach and while she did that Shannon Leigh Waterbury stepped up to coach the 15u’s. Due to injuries, sickness, etc our 15u’s dwindled to only 4 as of this morning😳 After speaking with officials, they were given the okay to play for the day but knowing they would have to count each game as a loss due to lack of players. They also had to lose a point each time their “ghost player” was up for a serve. Despite all of these obstacles, these 4 played their hearts out, smiled, encouraged one another & even beat another team in a set 26-24. These 4 are the definition of what you look for in a great player-determination, resiliency, grit, and a fantastic attitude. They are better players because of today and our program is better for having them as a part of it. Proud doesn’t begin to describe it!🏐👊🏼
