I'd like to give you a little or maybe an unsolicited TED Talk from the "behind the counter" of Endlessly Outdoors Company.
Many of you know me as the founder, the person behind the social media posts, the one helping you find the right gear, leading hikes and paddles, organizing events, and somehow keeping all the moving pieces of Endlessly Outdoors Company going.
But what you may not realize is that while I wear many hats as a business owner, there are quite a few others I wear too.
What are they?
1️⃣ I'm a full-time physical education, and outdoor adventure education teacher. It's a role that allows me to impact young people daily, mentor other educators, and advocate for creating meaningful experiences that help students build confidence, resilience, and a love for lifelong movement.
2️⃣ I'm actively involved in professional organizations that support health, physical education, and outdoor learning because I believe that when we continue learning ourselves, we can better serve others.
3️⃣ I'm a certified American Red Cross instructor and wilderness first aid educator, sharing skills that empower people to safely explore, lead, and respond when it matters most.
4️⃣ I'm a photographer who has the privilege of capturing everything from outdoor adventures to family milestones and the beautiful moments in between.
5️⃣ And perhaps my favorite title... I'm simply a human trying to build a business and life rooted in adventure, community, and connection.
The truth is, I genuinely thrive on having a full plate. But I'm also human.
Sometimes I forget to answer an email. Sometimes I miss something in my planner. Sometimes I show up to a run without the one thing I absolutely needed. 🤣
And if I'm being completely honest, I know I need to do better at creating boundaries too. The business is my passion, but that doesn't mean I need to be available 24/7. That includes NO LONGER taking company phone calls while I'm on a paddleboard trying to enjoy a sunset. 😂
It's a work in progress, but I'm learning that taking care of myself and being present in the moments that matter isn't selfish—it's necessary.
Over the years of building Endlessly Outdoors Company, I've learned a few things:
✨️ Give yourself grace.
✨️ Keep moving forward, even if the steps are small.
✨️ Drink more water than coffee.
✨️ Focus on the task right in front of you.
✨️ Build joy into your life intentionally.
✨️ Celebrate the wins, no matter how small.
✨️ Learn from the setbacks instead of living in them.
✨️ Ask for help when you need it.
Most importantly, I've learned that life isn't meant to be all hustle. The adventures, the sunsets, the conversations after a run, the laughter around a campfire, the quiet moments with family and friends—those are the things that matter most.
As many of you know, June is a particularly full season with wrapping up the school year, outdoor programming, events, family time, and preparing for all the summer adventures ahead. Because of that, shop hours will be adjusted throughout June so I can continue showing up fully in all the spaces that matter most.
🛍 Adjusted June Shop Hours:
• Saturday, June 6: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday, June 7: Closed
• Saturday, June 13: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday, June 14: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Saturday, June 20: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday, June 21: Closed
• Saturday, June 27: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday, June 28: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Thank you for your understanding and support as I navigate this busy but exciting season. Supporting a small business means supporting the human behind it, too, and I am incredibly grateful for this community. 💚
If I can leave you with one final thought:
Choose the people and spaces that support your growth, celebrate your successes, and encourage your adventures. Life is short—take the trip, try the thing that excites you and scares you, spend time with those you love, and give yourself the same grace you so freely offer others.
Thanks for being part of this wild and wonderful Endlessly Outdoors community. ❤️
