Perry R.C. Flyers AMA Chartered RC flying club. We fly all type of RC planes. The Perry R.C. Flyers strives to meet the needs of local remote control modelers. Perry R.C.

Located 2 miles east of the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter on Larry Walker Parkway (AKA Golden Isles Highway), Perry, GA. The airfield consists of a 375' x 30' foot woven textile runway and includes tables in the pit area for pilots convenience. There is ample parking space, covered picnic tables for guests, a Porta-Potty and generator powered 120V receptacles and lighting. Currently,

the club has around 62 active members. Flyers are an AMA Chartered Field that adhere to the Academy of Model Aviation (AMA). On any given weekend, planes of all makes and models line the pit area. Instructors are also on hand to assist with those who are in RC flight training. Flying during the week and nights is also permitted for those who enjoy slower times with less air traffic. For those interested in flying, we also offer complimentary "discovery" flights on easy to fly, trainer-style aircraft. Flyers have been at our current field for over 3 years now, and continues to grow. We feel that we have an excellent site that will only get better as we improve upon it. Flyers welcomes all types of R.C. aircraft and power types: Airplanes, Helicopters, mult-irotors, gas, glow, and electric. We even have a couple of members with giant scale and turbine! A few things to discuss.
1) Relocation of our presence at the SMS show in 2027.
2) Participation in AMA National Model Aviation Day 8/15/2026
3) Discuss club 2026 Christmas party

In Perry, on Main Street, just outside of the city, there is a cargo trailer for sale in a front yard. It's kind of small - I'm guessing 4' x 8' and it looks to be clean and in good shape from what I can tell driving by but that's all I know at this time. it's been sitting there about 3 weeks. If anybody is interested in this trailer, Let me know and I'll find out more or I'll pass along the address for you to pursue yourself.

We will meet Wednesday evening, 1/28/2026, 6:00PM in Wayne's garage. All are invited., members, member wanna-be's, guests, etc.
There will be the usual giggling, smack talking, stretching the truth and downright lies. Should any work actually get done, it will be all about planning the upcoming SMS BBQ and any associated work days and projects in preparation for the aforementioned event.

Due to Wayne being out of town, holiday travel and myself having acquired an illness of some magnitude, there will be no November PRCF meeting. The December meeting will be on Tuesday, December 16th at Wayne's house in the form of our annual club Christmas party. As usual, the club will provide meat and members are asked to bring a dish to pass. As before, all members , guests, spouses and children are invited. Be thinking about what you might bring as your favorite dish whether it be a side dish, salad, finger food, dessert or beverage. More on this in the form of a sign-up will be forthcoming in the next week.

Wayne checked out the field earlier and reported that the only mowing and w**d whacking required is the PIT area and around the tables. Probably out to the taxi srtip.
That being said, if it's not raining in the AM, I plan to arrive sometime to perform mowing and or relieve anybody that started before I got there. Flight 'C' has the helm this week.

Due to Saturday, 9/6/2025 being the opening day for dove hunting,, and in keeping with the spirit of respecting those that partake in that event, as we have in the past, there will be no flying between the hours of sunrise and sunset. As we have in the past, that will be a PRCF field workday. Wayne and his team have a list of chores planned. Also, we will not mow on Friday but instead we will mow and w**d whack on Saturday AM. The fun commences at 8:00 AM or whenever you show up. Everybody invited but the focus of mowing and w**d whacking will be with Maintenance Flight "C"

According to my math, “B” Flight has field maintenance duty tomorrow, Friday 6/13/25. While I’m not the Flight Commander, I’m sending this out as an FYI. If you’re on the attached list and able, you’re welcome to join me at the field. I’ll be arriving about 0900 hours. See ya!

Our next PRCF Meeting will be Saturday, 6/14/2025, at the field. We will also be hosting a breakfast that morning prior to the meeting to celebrate Father's Day. We plan to begin cooking at about 0800 hours, breakfast estimated at 0900 hours and the meeting will follow somewhere around 1000 hours. Breakfast will consist of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and all the usual condiments. There is no cost but we will have the donation jar out and ready. So that we can plan accordingly, we would like a headcount for breakfast. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to me by email or text (478-737-6532) prior to 6/11/2025. Guests are welcome too, just let me know. If anybody wants to volunteer in the art of cooking, you may jump in at any time or send me an email.
