PARENTS: We will have a parent meeting on September 17th at 6:00PM in the cafeteria to talk about fundraising, Wrestling dates, and other important information for the season. Senior parents, if you are going to the senior ceremony, I will be there a little earlier at 5:30 and you can come get the information then. Cannot wait to see everyone! Congratulations to Perry High Wrestling alumni Jaylen McIlrath, Brannen Moss, Jordan Karchella, Zeke Taylor, and Jordan Lee on continuing to develop their grappling skills, compete at a high level, and represent the values they learned as Perry Panthers. We are proud to see these young men continuing to grow both on and off the mat!

We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Josh and everyone at B-52 Jiu-Jitsu Academy for their continued support of these young men and of Perry High School Wrestling.

We had an outstanding weekend at the GHSA State Wrestling Championship, with six of our wrestlers qualifying for the state tournament.

Congratulations to Thomas Singleton for earning a 4th-place finish at 132 lbs and to Keith Wheeler for placing 5th at 126 lbs.

We also recognize Immanuel Segura, Paxton Gilmer, Gabriel Nazario, and James Cannon for securing multiple victories and finishing among the top 10 in the state.

Season is long and brutal and we are extremely proud of their hard work and dedication. The whole season led to this moment and they definitely do not disappoint.

What an unbelievable weekend at the sectional wrestling tournament! Our wrestlers brought nonstop intensity, grit, and heart to every match, and we could not be more proud of the way they competed. Seven of our athletes punched their tickets to the state tournament, and the job isn’t finished yet. We’re fired up for what’s next and can’t wait to watch them take on the best! Help us wish Immanuel Segura, Matthew Kohlman, Keith Wheeler, Thomas Singleton, Paxton Gilmer, James Cannon, and Gabriel Nazario as they represent Perry high school this week at the state tournament.

Shout out to Keith Wheeler as he decided to continue his academic and wrestling career at Truett McConnell University. Such an amazing kid to be around. Our girls traveled to Houston County and competed in the area tournament that hosted 33 teams. All of our girls performed amazing with everyone getting multiple wins. Very proud of the hard work and dedication they put in this season. Shout out to Eva Marlatt for coming in 1st in her weight class of 120 lbs. Her dominating performance was evident with all of her matches resulting in pins in the first period. Wish her luck as she travels to the Sectional Wrestling tournament this Friday!
