great day at the range today. Got to spend time with buddies, share war stories with vets and rela######... But the best of all was the end of day.
Usually, I would go out for lunch with Karen Johnson - Independent Sr. Sales Director after a day at the range...
feeling a bit blue, I went down to lock the gates and a truck pulled in. I didn't recognize the driver and the passenger went into the restroom before I could see him.
I asked the driver, an older latino fellow if they were members. he said no.
Fine I thought, and right at closing. He said I'm here with Dan Duran. My hearing with gunshots in the background is not perfect, and I said who?
DAN DURAN he said... Oh, I know Him, so I pulled over to talk.
The driver turned out to be Tony Vela, a Deacon from Temple Baptist days, a super fine man of God. He said that He and Dan had come up to see me and talk... They both hugged me and prayed over my and my family, Dan's too. We shared reminders of God's goodness and faithfulness and then parted ways.
God sent them at the exact instant I was leaving, at the exact instant I was at the gate, sent Dan into the restroom so I had to talk to Tony and soooo blessed me with HIS encouragement.
He is a good God, always right on time, comforting those in need...
If you don't belong to Him, now is a good time to seek Him... Jesus paid it all, and is backing up His promises to me and whosoever believes on Him....
