Such an amazing event to be a part of this past weekend!

KTM puts on their Adventure Bike Rally every year, and this year it was held up in Northern Idaho. I was fortunate enough to be one of their Ambassador riders alongside Ryan Dungey, Chris Birch, Taylor Robert, and Trystan Hart.

I had three incredible days leading groups through Idaho and even making our way into Montana. The riding, the scenery, and the people made it an experience I won’t forget.

One evening, Chris Birch put on an adventure bike class, and it was really cool to be a part of it and pick up a few new things on the adventure side of riding.

Then we ambassadors got the chance to hit a pump track… on the adventure bikes! 😂🔥 That was absolutely insane and one of those experiences you don’t get to do every day. Getting to ride it alongside these guys made it even more special.

Overall, this was one of the best times I’ve had on a motorcycle in a long time. Huge thanks to KTM for putting on such an incredible event and letting me be a part of it!

It’s good to be back in AZ!

This morning was a fun one with a great group of riders, and I’m pumped to be back doing what I love.

DA8 Training classes and guided rides are officially back on!

If you’re looking to come ride and want to stay, I also have two Airbnb’s right here on my property, so you can make a trip out of it and get in some extra riding. Even if you don’t want to do a class and need a place that has a garage, this would be perfect for you.

Cooper Abbott and I are excited to be teaming up with EnduroCross again for our DA8/CA12 EX classes before each round this year!

We’ll walk the track with you before the training session and break down each obstacle, talk about different techniques, and help you understand what to expect. Then you’ll get three practice sessions on the actual EX track to put it all together.

Our goal is to help every rider get as much as possible out of the experience. It’s been awesome seeing so many riders come out for our class and then race the next night, or even just sit in the stands and watch the pros and realize just how incredible EnduroCross is.

We hope to get the chance to work with you this year. Let’s have some fun!

This past weekend was pretty amazing.

Thursday, I had the opportunity to go back to Kansas City and spend time with staff, doctors, and motorcycle riders, sharing a little of my story and hopefully helping inspire the incredible work they’re doing with the clinical trials they’re developing.

I’m still participating in a clinical trial through MD Anderson, and I truly believe that trial is a big part of the reason I’m still here today. Being able to go back and talk with the people who are working so hard to give others more time, more hope, and more opportunities to live… that means more to me than I can really put into words.

Then Friday, it was time to switch gears and head about an hour south of KC for a two-day DA8 riding class.

Great riding and some of my favorite people who once again treated us like family. I’m so glad I made the trip.

A huge thank you to Jennifer Ross for making all of this happen, and to Perry for all the help on the motorcycle side of things. I’m incredibly grateful for both of you.

This past weekend I spent four days in New Mexico hosting a private DA8 Experience ride with four awesome guys, including one of my close friends, Steve Fox.

We packed a lot into three days of riding. Day one was all dirt bikes with some really fun wet sand sections that kept everyone on their toes. The next two days we switched over to adventure and dual sport bikes and explored some incredible places you’d never see from the highway.

What makes these trips special isn’t just the riding though. It’s the whole experience — staying in an amazing place, eating great food, hanging out after the rides, and swapping stories with good people.

One thing I’m really excited about is continuing to expand these DA8 Experience rides beyond Arizona and into more states. Every location brings a completely different adventure, terrain, and experience.

The older I get, the more I appreciate that this is what I get to call work. Grateful for the people, the rides, and the memories we create through these DA8 Experiences. Destry Abbott

This year has been incredible. When I added DA8 guided rides and rental bikes to the program, I had no idea how much it would take off.

I’m loving it, because not everyone wants to just do drills all the time. As we get older, it’s about enjoying the ride, hitting awesome trails, and surrounding yourself with good people.

These rides have been keeping me busy, and it’s been great having people fly in, grab a bike, and go ride.

I also offer two Airbnb options here on the property. A guest house and a smaller hotel type of room above the shop, so you can make it a full riding experience.

I’m so excited about this 3-day camp!!! It’s been a while since I’ve put on an all women’s camp and teaming up with the Babes in the Dirt was perfect to bring it back to Arizona.

DA8 Experience rides are a completely new experience. The focus for DA8 Experience rides is all about fun, safety, camaraderie and enjoying the freedom and thrill that off-road motorcycles can bring. Each day will consist of 5-7 hours of riding in some of the best terrain Arizona has on offer with 2 full days of training and one hell of a trail ride day 3 awaits!

Some additional details:
* This DA8 Experience ride is intended for novice (B level in terms of riding skill). Riders should be comfortable riding single-track trails, be able to handle moderate climbs, descents and be comfortable in rocky conditions (we are in AZ after all). The terrain will be a mix of fun single track, double track, sand wash and other offroad conditions here in the Southwest.
* This experience ride will be limited to just 8-12 riders, so sign-up asap to lock in your spot
* Riders are welcome to bring their own fully prepped motorcycle or we do offer fully prepped KTM motorcycle rentals (additional cost) for the ultimate in convenience
* Each day will start with breakfast at the Destry compound before heading out for the ride.
* Lunch will be provided on the trail at a meeting point, where the DA8 staff will meet us (along with tools and parts if needed).
* Dinner will be provided Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.
* Additional night's stay can be available for an additional fee (please let us know in advance) by emailing [email protected]
* Bring your riding/safety gear, hydration pack (a must for AZ), your great attitude and either your well prepped bike (or rent ours!)
* Each day we will all drive out to staging area (20-25 min drive) in our own vehicles with our dirt bikes. From there we will help each other unload + get ready + start the day! After each session, we help each other load up and head back to the Destry compound to shower, hang, and play some "pickleball". Tournament anyone?

Accommodations Included (Abbott Acres):
* Fully furnished guest house with two bedrooms (2 queen beds, 1 king bed)
* Apartment with two queen beds, living room, kitchen, etc..
* Casita with two queen beds, kitchenette (more like a nice hotel room, but with a fridge and microwave, etc.).
* Two guest bedrooms in the main house (both king beds).
* We have two separate garages, and places to wash and work on bikes if needed.

Schedule:
* Thursday: Reception and welcome dinner. We will meet for dinner, socializing and talk about the exciting agenda for the next few days
* Friday: Training - Day 1 All meals provided
* Saturday: Training - Day 2 All meals provided
* Sunday: Trail - Day 3 TRAIL RIDE to showcase those skills! Breakfast and lunch provided. Send off in the afternoon! L8ter Babes!

Cooper Abbott and I couldn’t have asked for a better three days with incredible weather conditions. We put on a 3-Day DA8 Experience, and this one included a night at the Nitro Circus event on Friday—which was unreal.

As you’ll see in the photos, we mixed up the riding and terrain each day, with some amazing views and fun surprises along the way. The crew showed up ready to ride, laugh, and make it an awesome time. We also enjoyed having them stay at the house plus some good food!

We’re already looking forward to our next DA8 Experience for PHX SX—our 3rd annual! Only 8 riders and always a good time. We’ll be posting details later this week.
