This year has been incredible. When I added DA8 guided rides and rental bikes to the program, I had no idea how much it would take off.

I’m loving it, because not everyone wants to just do drills all the time. As we get older, it’s about enjoying the ride, hitting awesome trails, and surrounding yourself with good people.

These rides have been keeping me busy, and it’s been great having people fly in, grab a bike, and go ride.

I also offer two Airbnb options here on the property. A guest house and a smaller hotel type of room above the shop, so you can make it a full riding experience.

What a fun session with yesterday from her house. Exploring new trails and working on getting her a little more out of her comfort zone. It always a good time seeing the rider progress so much in a short period of time. Great job Heather and thanks for the footage.

Remember, we don't just do classes! Our guided rides have been taking off more and more. We just got done taking a group of guys from NY out yesterday. We also have places to stay on my property, that I rent out (guest house and two apartments), plus we have rental bikes.

I’m so excited about this 3-day camp!!! It’s been a while since I’ve put on an all women’s camp and teaming up with the Babes in the Dirt was perfect to bring it back to Arizona.

DA8 Experience rides are a completely new experience. The focus for DA8 Experience rides is all about fun, safety, camaraderie and enjoying the freedom and thrill that off-road motorcycles can bring. Each day will consist of 5-7 hours of riding in some of the best terrain Arizona has on offer with 2 full days of training and one hell of a trail ride day 3 awaits!

Some additional details:
* This DA8 Experience ride is intended for novice (B level in terms of riding skill). Riders should be comfortable riding single-track trails, be able to handle moderate climbs, descents and be comfortable in rocky conditions (we are in AZ after all). The terrain will be a mix of fun single track, double track, sand wash and other offroad conditions here in the Southwest.
* This experience ride will be limited to just 8-12 riders, so sign-up asap to lock in your spot
* Riders are welcome to bring their own fully prepped motorcycle or we do offer fully prepped KTM motorcycle rentals (additional cost) for the ultimate in convenience

* Additional night's stay can be available for an additional fee (please let us know in advance) by emailing [email protected]
* Bring your riding/safety gear, hydration pack (a must for AZ), your great attitude and either your well prepped bike (or rent ours!)
* Each day we will all drive out to staging area (20-25 min drive) in our own vehicles with our dirt bikes. From there we will help each other unload + get ready + start the day! After each session, we help each other load up and head back to the Destry compound to shower, hang, and play some "pickleball". Tournament anyone?

Cooper Abbott and I couldn’t have asked for a better three days with incredible weather conditions. We put on a 3-Day DA8 Experience, and this one included a night at the Nitro Circus event on Friday—which was unreal.

As you’ll see in the photos, we mixed up the riding and terrain each day, with some amazing views and fun surprises along the way. The crew showed up ready to ride, laugh, and make it an awesome time. We also enjoyed having them stay at the house plus some good food!

We’re already looking forward to our next DA8 Experience for PHX SX—our 3rd annual! Only 8 riders and always a good time. We’ll be posting details later this week.

🎁 Also makes a great Christmas gift! Destry Abbott

We’re excited to say that Destry Abbott and Cooper Abbott officially sold out our Dec 5–7 DA8/CA12 Nitro Circus 3-Day Experience!

We’ve got an awesome group lined up and can’t wait to spend a few great days riding and hanging out together.

Up next — I’ll be hosting my third annual DA8 SX Experience, happening Feb 6–8 here in Phoenix. This event is always a blast, and we get to experience some really cool behind-the-scenes action at the SX races that not many people ever get to see.

More info coming soon — stay tuned! 🔥💪

Here's some awesome photos this past week during our DA8 Training class up in Idaho Falls, ID. Cooper Abbott always does such a great job helping the riders and we were lucky enough to have Cody Miller helping us out too. We love seeing the series grow and one of the biggest rider entries in a long time. Thank you again Jack Jaxson for the great photos. CM Parts Destry Abbott EnduroCross Cooper and I have quite a few more EX classes we'll be doing in Oregon, Nevada, and Washington. Then we have some 3-day experience rides in AZ you don't want to miss.

DA8 Experience rides are a completely new experience and different from the focus of what you may know about our other DA8 Training rides. The focus for DA8 Experience rides is all about fun, safety, camaraderie and enjoying the freedom and thrill that off-road motorcycles can bring. While good technique is always encouraged, these are not training and technique classes. This is all about having fun riding motorcycles and you letting us handle all the logistics while you get to enjoy an incredible riding experience.

Destry Abbott and Cooper Abbott will be leading you on some exciting routes with a mix of terrain. Each day will consist of 5-7 hours of riding in some of the best terrain Arizona has on offer. We might even be able to find some cool sections where Cooper could show off his skills on something gnarly.

This experience will definitely be a fun one since Friday evening, after we clean up, we’ll head down to the stadium to watch the Nitro Circus event (tickets provided). Of course my son-in-law Jarryd McNeil will be performing in the show too.

I just listed our guest house again and it’s on Airbnb. Super nice place Charlotte did and I’m for sure going to try and keep our 5 star rating we’ve had the last couple years. This was her baby and she loved making everyone happy, so she wouldn’t be happy if I don’t keep it going. If you need a shop and garage for riders or if you’re not into that, there’s a lot of great stores, shops, and restaurants close by. It’s a really nice area and riding spots are within 20-minutes. The link is in the comments. For you riders, I do let you use my power washer etc to help make it easier too.

What a weekend up in Flagstaff!

Cooper Abbott and I had the privilege of putting on a 2-day DA8/CA12 Class, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better group or better conditions.

Day 1 was all about drills and refining technique, with some single track riding mixed in. Day 2 gave everyone more seat time to apply what they’d learned, plus we tackled a few focused sections to keep pushing skills forward.

We’re both passionate about this sport, and getting to spend time with others who share that same excitement is what it’s all about. Personally, I loved camping out with the group and swapping stories around the fire—those moments make it even more memorable. Plus I learned a lot about other things I enjoy.

Huge thank you to everyone who signed up! We’re already looking forward to doing more classes like this in the future. Stay tuned! Destry Abbott FXR Moto FXR Racing AEO POWERSPORTS Fasst Company Dunlop Motorcycle Tires CM Parts RK Excel

It’s been fun watching Cooper Abbott start preparing for the EnduroCross season.

Let’s talk about hitting a K-Rail. This is one of those obstacles where you have to commit and that’s easier said than done for a lot of us riders.

One of the biggest mistakes we see is riders trying to just wheelie into a big vertical obstacle without really loading the front wheel. You’ll see just how much force Cooper puts into that front wheel and how much he moves around on the bike to make it happen.

The key is getting in a double blip (also called a jab zap). The first blip loads the front wheel into the obstacle, then you’re right back on the throttle as it rebounds to load the rear wheel. That’s when your body shifts back and then way forward again as the bike goes vertical.

Once the rear wheel reaches the top, you load it again with a smooth throttle and your weight back for the drive over.

I know that’s a lot to picture from text alone which is why I love breaking sections like this down in my DA8 classes, so every rider can figure out exactly how to tackle obstacles like this with confidence. .parts_ Destry Abbott

Cooper Abbott and I are pumped to have our DA8 / CA12 class in Flagstaff sell out. This is going to be an awesome time in the trees and the cooler weather. We’re looking forward to camping out with the group and spending two quality days riding, training, playing some games on the motorcycles, and just hanging out. We’re looking forward to it.
