Peoria Pirates 17U Fall To Sr Guardians Baseball After Surrendering Big Second Inning

Sr Guardians Baseball scored nine runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Peoria Pirates 17U 13-1 on Sunday at 815 W Springfield Rd.

Sr Guardians Baseball jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Ted Jones singled, scoring one run, Drew Morgan singled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored two runs.

Sr Guardians Baseball scored nine runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. A passed ball scored one run, Daniel Enlow singled, scoring one run, Drew Morgan singled, scoring one run, Grayden Hughes drew a walk, scoring one run, Carter Hennings drew a walk, scoring one run, Griffin Giles was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Noah Clark tripled, scoring three runs.

Andrew Matranga started on the hill for Peoria Pirates 17U. The starter surrendered seven hits and eight runs (seven earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking two. Grayden Hughes started on the mound for Sr Guardians Baseball. The hurler gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Jack Hapke led Peoria Pirates 17U with two hits in two at bats. Peoria Pirates 17U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Teddy Girsch had the most chances in the field with three.

Peoria Pirates 17U Keep It Close Against Illinois Prospects HS 17U, Lose On Walkoff

A walk-off left Peoria Pirates 17U on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat to Illinois Prospects HS 17U on Sunday at 815 W Springfield Rd. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the sixth when Jack Hentz singled, scoring one run.

A double by Jagger Smith put Peoria Pirates 17U on the board in the top of the first.

Peoria Pirates 17U added one run in the third after Jack Hapke flew out.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Illinois Prospects HS 17U went back into the lead after Ian Herschberger singled to left field, Kole Somers doubled down the left field line, and Peoria Pirates 17U committed an error, each scoring one run.

In the top of the fifth inning, Peoria Pirates 17U went back into the lead after Ben Robinson walked, Ryker Zuercher singled to center field, and Andrew Matranga singled to left field, each scoring one run.

Will Stirrett singled, which helped Illinois Prospects HS 17U tie the game at five in the bottom of the fifth.

Jagger Smith began the game for Peoria Pirates 17U. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking four. Zane Hosler started on the bump for Illinois Prospects HS 17U. The righty gave up eight hits and five runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking three.

Peoria Pirates 15U Earn Walk-Off Win Over USA Prime IL Ballard 15U

Peoria Pirates 15U took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-3 walk-off victory over USA Prime IL Ballard 15U at Future Champions Sports Complex. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the fifth when Knox Reimer doubled, scoring two runs.

Peoria Pirates 15U opened the scoring in the first after a wild pitch scored one run.

USA Prime IL Ballard 15U made the score 3-1 in the top of the third after Caden Feuchter singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Peoria Pirates 15U made the score 5-3 in the bottom of the fifth after Rylan Richardson singled, scoring one run, and Knox Reimer doubled, scoring two runs.

Max Radosevic earned the win for Peoria Pirates 15U. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out none and walking none. Tanner Dixon took the loss for USA Prime IL Ballard 15U. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits, striking out five and walking three. Grant Matthews started on the mound for Peoria Pirates 15U. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (one earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking three. Nathan Wise pitched one and one-third innings of shutout ball for Peoria Pirates 15U in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking one.

Knox Reimer led Peoria Pirates 15U with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The center fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Blaize Wilson set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Peoria Pirates 15U with two hits in three at bats.

Third-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Danville Past Peoria Pirates 17U

Danville defeated Peoria Pirates 17U 12-0 on Saturday at 815 W Springfield Rd thanks in part to eight runs in the third inning.

Danville opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles. Danville first got on the board when Matthew Darling singled, scoring two runs.

Danville scored eight runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Marvin Davis III was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Easton Barney drew a walk, scoring one run, Xander Wilson singled, scoring two runs, Cruz Dubois drew a walk, scoring one run, Cole Miller singled, scoring two runs, and Ryker Zuercher induced Pedro Rangel to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Jaxon Spicer earned the win for Danville. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Jace Houghton took the loss for Peoria Pirates 17U. The pitcher went two and one-third innings, giving up 11 runs (nine earned) on five hits, striking out none and walking four.

Jack Hapke, Ben Yontz, and Jagger Smith each collected one hit for Peoria Pirates 17U.

Pedro Rangel, Danville's number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Matthew Darling, Cole Miller, and Pedro Rangel each drove in two runs for Danville. Peoria Pirates 15U outsted Wow Factor Capital City 15U 6-3 on Saturday at Future Champions Sports Complex.

A single by Aiden Stremmel following a 9-pitch at-bat put Peoria Pirates 15U on the board in the bottom of the first.

Wow Factor Capital City 15U jumped back into the lead in the top of the second inning after Cooper Gasperin flew out, Avery H singled down the right field line, and Rickey Mcrill grounded out, each scoring one run.

Peoria Pirates 15U took the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the third thanks to singles by Grant Matthews, and Drew Cunningham.

Rylan Richardson earned the win for Peoria Pirates 15U. The righty surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Cooper Gasperin took the loss for Wow Factor Capital City 15U. A ground out by Garrett Cotts extended the Tigers Holiday Shores 15U lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning.

A single by Jackson Dowdy extended the Tigers Holiday Shores 15U lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Oliver Stirnaman earned the win for Tigers Holiday Shores 15U. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking two. Drew Cunningham took the loss for Peoria Pirates 15U. The starting pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking four.

Rylan Richardson, Aiden Stremmel, and Grant Matthews each collected one hit for Peoria Pirates 15U.

Peoria Pirates 17U With Tough Game Against Top Tier Central 16U

Peoria Pirates 17U couldn't keep up with Top Tier Central 16U and fell 17-1 on Tuesday at Ty Franklin Field.

Top Tier Central 16U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Morgan Patterson singled down the left field line, and Max Knepp grounded out, each scoring two runs.

Top Tier Central 16U scored six runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning. Isaac Sparks doubled, scoring two runs, Ryker Zuercher induced Maxwell Lightle to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Max Knepp drew a walk, scoring one run, and Nikolas James singled, scoring two runs.

Top Tier Central 16U scored seven runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Max Knepp drew a walk, scoring one run, Nikolas James drew a walk, scoring one run, a wild pitch scored one run, Vidyut Theru drew a walk, scoring one run, Luke Garthaus singled, scoring one run, and Chase Knepp singled, scoring two runs.

It came down to the wire on Wednesday at Richwoods High School, as Peoria Pirates 15U grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 9-8, over Oneida Legion. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the sixth when Grant Matthews singled, scoring one run.

Peoria Pirates 15U built a 6-run lead in the third inning and then held off Oneida Legion's charge. Oneida Legion closed the gap by scoring on an error, a double, a single, a fly out, an error, a double, and a double.

Peoria Pirates 15U opened the scoring in the first after Rylan Richardson singled, scoring one run.

Peoria Pirates 15U added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Blaize Wilson singled up the middle, Grant Matthews grounded out, and Rylan Richardson singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Peoria Pirates 15U added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Dylan Mobley grounded out, and Brycen Hakes walked, each scoring one run.
