Our Outlaws family is grieving the loss of someone who may have lived miles away in Indiana, but whose presence was felt right here with us in Arizona.
Gregg Follis was the proud father of Coach Adam and grandfather to Carter #10. But over the years, he became so much more - he was part of the extended baseball family that makes this team and game so special. He supported our Outlaws in so many meaningful ways - helping out at practices, chatting up the umpires at games, donating team helmets, equipment, and even a camera to livestream our games so families could watch from miles away.
That was Gregg. He found ways to show up and give with his whole heart. We all loved when he came to visit and spend time at the fields - his presence (and sunglasses collection) was one of a kind.
He understood that baseball is about so much more than what happens on the field. It’s about family, connection, memories, and giving kids opportunities to become thier best selves through the love of the game.
Baseball has a beautiful way of bringing generations together. His love and pride for his family, his care for this team, players, coaches, and our families, and the memories we all shared will forever be a part of our story.
Our hearts are with Coach Adam, Carter, Ashlee, Lincoln, Sue and the entire Follis family. We are incredibly grateful that Gregg was also part of our Outlaws family, and we will always remember the ways he showed up for our team. ❤️
Rest easy, Gregg. Thank you for cheering from near and far. Your legacy will live on at the fields…and beyond. ⚾️
If you would like to honor Gregg’s memory, in lieu of flowers the family asks to make a contribution using the link below. All donations will be shared with the youth teams and fields he cared so much for.
