To teach the basic knowledge, skill and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. The course is scheduled for 8 hours and includes classroom and range time with both revolvers and semiautomatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, pistol and revolver parts and their function, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, various shooting positions and cleaning the pistol. Addit

ionally we discuss Florida fi****ms and use of force statutes from the concealed carry perspective

We will also cover the material needed to obtain your Florida Concealed Weapons License (CWL). Upon successful classroom completion and range qualification you are awarded a course completion certificate. Classes are small (1-4 students normally) and can be tailored to suit individual needs and scheduling. We can put a class together at your place with no extra cost involved if you like. What to bring:

We provide the fi****ms, ammunition, and learning materials. Students should bring:

1. Identification (drivers license is OK).
2. Small notebook and pen.
3. Optional light non-salty snacks
5. Eye and ear protection for the range

As the weather breaks to mild, now it a great time to attend a Basic Pistol course. This course is designed for new shooters interested in an indepth experience without the rush associated with larger classes. Class size is limited to 4 people. We cover basic handgun fundamentals, practical in-class exercises and discuss Florida Statutes 790 and 776. Live fire takes place at a local range following class. You will need eye and ear protection for the range.
