The Gorillas boys came to play today in the USSSA Pensacola Beach World Series.

2-0 in pool play today w/1 more to go tomorrow.

PG Gulf Coast World Series Recap: 6/10 - 6/13

The boys played some outstanding baseball during this World Series. There were so many great moments—clutch hits, strong defensive plays, close games, comeback victories, and plenty of excitement along the way.

They experienced both wins and losses while competing against some of the top teams from Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, and beyond. While we didn't bring home the championship, we couldn't be prouder of the heart, determination, and resilience they showed throughout the tournament. Our hope is that the fight and confidence they displayed last week continue to grow and propel them to even greater success in the future.

Next up: The USSSA Pensacola World Series, June 17–21. Join us in cheering on the boys as they compete in what will be their final 8U tournament. Let's finish this chapter strong!

As the season comes to a close these next few weeks we start looking to the 9u season. We are proud to continue building and growing our program under the leadership and instruction of coach Tyler Stewart.

⚾️ Tyler Stewart | Certified personal trainer and lifelong baseball enthusiast.
- Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida.
- Age : 27
- A 2017 graduate of Choctaw High School.
- Tyler has built a strong foundation in the game through years of playing, coaching, and developing athletes.
- As a proud husband and father of two baseball-loving boys, ages 8 and 6, his life revolves around family, baseball, and helping others reach their full potential. Tyler also brings passion, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in everything he does.

As the season comes to a close these next few weeks we start looking to the 9u season. Help us welcome coach Payton Shubert to the Gorillas coaching staff.

Coach Payton Shubert brings an impressive playing and coaching background to the program. A former collegiate standout at Edward Waters University, Coach Shubert earned 2× All-American honors during his collegiate career and helped lead his team to an HBCU World Series Championship.

Following college, he continued his baseball journey at the professional level with the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers, gaining valuable experience competing against high-level talent.
In addition to his playing accomplishments, Coach Shubert has served as an assistant coach at the high school level, where he has focused on player development, fundamentals, and helping athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Coach Shubert's combination of championship experience, professional playing background, and passion for developing young athletes makes him a tremendous asset to the coaching staff and a great mentor for the next generation of players.
